Dang, he was everyone's stern father or boss back in the '90s! I hope he'a happy and peaceful wherever he is.

Me too. I was going to say, feels like in he's been in everything since the 90's - including a bunch of stuff all very recently. My mouth dropped open when I read the news. I've enjoyed him in so much.

I immediately recognized the face, but I have never heard his name before. He was definitely in a ton of stuff.

I loved him as the dentist on 30 Rock. There was this hilarious competition between him and his brother who was a cardiologist, and he was better because "I've only killed one person."

Oh, man. That guy? I never knew his name until today, but he's been in freaking everything. Sad. That's far too young.

I loved in The Game he was essentially playing himself in that it was a guy who was supposed to be a ubiquitous character actor.

Oh, that's sad. I'm a bit of a fan of Gwar. Some of their stuff is good fun. RIP.

GWAR to me was more of a performance art satire of metal than anything. The were a lot of fun.
Oderus did an interview on the Daily Show with Beth Littleford way back when that was hilarious.

It really was, I loved the bit about his kids.

THAT is the role I was trying to remember! He's been in so much but there was a semi-recent memory tugging at my brain and I couldn't think of what the role was. Love that episode!

It really, really was, and I hope it's of some comfort to his family that he took that chance to make sure they knew exactly how much he loved and appreciated them. Now, where are my tissues?

Re: Death Pool
I finally read Rebhorn's self-penned obit and am really touched, especially by the part about his daughters and how they shouldn't get bogged down in mourning their loss so that they can "get busy" doing more good work. They're heartbroken right now, but I'm sure reading about his love and admiration of them has really been heartening over the last few weeks.

As much as anyone, and more than most, this man gave me my first introduction to what eventually became my entire nerd lifestyle. May God bless him for every "BAM!" and "POW!" that crossed my screen.

Mickey Rooney. Hard to be sad about someone who lived the life and had the career that he did, and yet...

I think that makes "The Muppets" his final movie appearance. Glad he was singing for the last one.
