I'm actually wondering if the police patrol the theaters to scare off the self-abusers that would normally go, hence the porn theaters would go out of business. Yeah, that's my conspiracy theory for the day.

Cast of Modern Family litigating to void their contracts. Probably more because of the financial limits than the time length.

Oh, Randy Travis. Picked up last night after crashing his car (a '98 Trans Am, really?*) while driving drunk and naked. And then he threatened to shoot and kill his arresting officers.

The Insane Clown Posse will sue the FBI.
Let me type that again, because I almost can't believe it: THE INSANE CLOWN POSSE WILL SUE THE FBI!

For now, though, they're not OK with anybody taunting or discriminating against their fans, known as Juggalos. ICP founders Bruce and Joseph Utsler, or Shaggy 2 Dope, announced last weekend they plan to file a lawsuit against the FBI for labeling their fans a gang. They made the announcement during the Gathering of the Juggalos, an annual music festival that draws thousands of ICP fans to rural Cave-In-Rock, Illinois.
"This is the government's way of telling us what you can listen to, what you can wear," Violent J told a crowd in a video posted online. "They're telling you that 'if you listen to this music and you support this music, you are going to be committing a crime in our eyes.'"
An Insane Clown Posse spokeswoman said the band's lawyers are deciding how to proceed, but they are asking Juggalos to visit juggalosfightback.com to report "any negative consequence with an employer or governmental representative, including law enforcement, border patrol, airline security, or other local, state or federal governmental agency or employee as a result of their status as a Juggalo."

They say the new album is their best work, an album of songs that took years to write and record. With so many fans, it's not the same as it was in the early years when they boasted and lied about who they were and what they were about. They can't even remember why, only that they saw themselves more as actors than artists.

ICP, being a called a street gang is a compliment in comparison to the sad truth.

Re: Celebrities and the Law
For real, is there anyone who genuinely finds them threatening? Also, hasn't the FBI classified the juggalos as a gang for years? Why are they suing now? They love this shit. Like so:
Guys, we're not afraid of you. People making fun of you is not oppression.

Do people typically bring up their Juggalo status in job interviews? I just have this image of someone in the face paint while wearing a blazer and talking about their strengths with Microsoft Office.

Re: Celebrities and the Law
I think a lot of the juggalos have ICP-related tattoos that might be in places that are hard to cover up for a job interview. In a case like that, I think the issue is probably the person having such a visible tattoo and not because they are a juggalo. But a lot of juggalos have a persecution complex.

Also, being on file as a gang member can seriously affect your abilities to obtain a security clearance and/or government job.

Just personal observation, but 7-11 does not discriminate hiring Juggalos for night shifts.

They used to hassle me when I was in high school and worked at Branigans. They'd come in on buffet Tuesdays and invite me to bush parties. I'll be quite honest I was pretty sure I could have kicked their ass and I at the time was a ballerina and to this day my idea of fighting is futile air slapping.

HEE, I'm sorry, but that is very funny. DUIs aren't funny, but that is.The officer says Wilson was swaying and asked to do yoga poses instead of a field sobriety test.

I wonder if her friend jumped to conclusions about it being gone and then realized it was still there. She does have a history.

Re: Celebrities and the Law
So, Tumblr taught me tonight that Jennifer Grey and Clark Gregg are married (for, like, over a DECADE - where have I been?). In attempting to figure out how they even met, I ran across this gem on Wikipedia:
YOU GUYS MATTHEW BRODERICK KILLED TWO PEOPLE AND WAS FINED ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS. What the HELL.
On August 5, 1987, Grey suffered severe whiplash in a car accident in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland, while vacationing with Matthew Broderick, whom she began dating in semi-secrecy during the filming of Ferris Bueller's Day Off. The accident, which was the event through which their relationship became public, occurred when the rented BMW Broderick was driving crossed into the wrong lane and slammed head-on into a Volvo driven by a local mother and daughter, Anna Gallagher, 28, and Margaret Doherty, 63, who were killed instantly in the accident. Broderick was later convicted of careless driving and fined $175

Re: Celebrities and the Law
Damn. I knew that she had been dating him on the sly, and that they had been in some car wreck, but I didn't know that it resulted in the deaths of two people. That's just horrible. Also, $175? Seriously? When he was accused of careless driving? I'm hoping that's just a typo. Also also, Clark Gregg and Jennifer Grey seem like the sweetest couple ever. I follow his twitter, and he's always mentioning his wife and kids in the most adorable ways.

Re: Celebrities and the Law
Yup I remember Broderick killing two people, mostly because my Dad has never let me forget. He was like, obsessed, with Broderick suffering little to no consequence legal or career wise for having KILLED TWO PEOPLE. To this day whenever he sees or reads about him, he debates with himself ALL of the angles, and wonders how Broderick lives himself. I feel like the majority of reckless driving/vehicular homicide cases probably don't get tossed in jail for years or anything, but his penalty seemed grossly minor.
