I remember when it happened and the explanation was that he'd gotten confused about driving on the "wrong" side of the road and that it wasn't uncommon with American tourists, though not usually with such a devastating result.

In more recent legal news my high school celeb crush Paul Michael Glaser was arrested in Kentucky for marijuana possession, hours after doing a reading at a middle school. Dude looks pretty good for pushing 70.

It used to be that people got off with outrageously light fines (never prison terms) for "careless driving" (seriously?), and I have no doubt he got off more easily because of who he was, but I think that has changed a bit in recent years. He visited the family of the two women recently, I think, and seemed remorseful.

Ted Kennedy and Vince Neil are other cases of getting slaps on the wrist for vehicular manslaughter. Vince got another DUI recently.

She's got that bloated drinker look. Which makes me sad for some reason. I always kind of liked Bynes.

And now she was photographed driving around while getting high. On a suspended license. I just don't even know anymore. The whole situation is just sad, not only for how obviously she's spiraling, but because it's almost like she keeps pushing it further and further to get someone to pay attention, but no one really cares.

I wouldn't recognize her if she was doing crack in front of me, but yikes, she needs help. Doesn't she have someone to take away her keys, at the least?

I think that if there were people in her life that really cared for her, they would have intervened by now.

What the hell is Dina talking about with that "If she were living in New York, five of them would be obsolete," when Dr. Phil runs down her list of legal infractions? All I can think is she means that Lindsay doesn't drive there, so her DUI's/attempted kidnapping (or whatever charge that ended up being)/driving with a suspended license charges wouldn't have happened? Yeah, that's really helpful. No wonder your daughter takes such accountability for herself.

Wait...alcohol? Huh.
He used to work out at our YMCA when we lived in SoCal (and maybe still does) and was just a sweetheart with all the kids. A really nice regular guy.

Based on the mugshot I was guessing heroin or something, but hashish? Bah. I don't think people should be arrested for this crap anymore.

.National Enquirer reports that O.J. Simpson is trying to sell the murder weapon to a private collector for $5 million.

Yes, you read that right.

O.J. Simpson held on to the knife he may have used to kill his ex-wife and her friend and is now trying to sell it for a handsome price, an anonymous source told the National Enquirer.

The story, which appears in the tabloid's latest print edition, quotes the source who is "close to Simpson's inner circle" as saying the knife is stashed in the Bahamas. Simpson reportedly wants $5 million for it.

“[O.J. is] looking for a strictly cash deal so that the money can be deposited in offshore accounts and can’t be traced directly to him," the source said, according to the New York Post. "O.J. said he’d reveal the location once a firm deal — for a minimum of $5 million — was reached.”

The Daily Mail reports that an unnamed wealthy memorabilia collector is interested in purchasing the knife.

Of course, it is an anonymous source in the Enquirer, but....
