Anyway, I doubt anything as mundane as a divorce is capable of shocking Katy's parents at this point.

I saw her finances broken down on TMZ (shut up... it's replayed in the tea room during my lunch break) and I couldn't get over that she spends $250 a month eating out. $75/ week? Man. We bought a veal cacciatore, a pasta, 1 side salad and a bottle of San Pellegrino at our local Italian and barely had change from $70! We didn't even order wine. I can only imagine that craft services on the set of her sitcom do a fantastic veggie curry and she fills up at work, she gets comped for being a celebrity or she's a couponer.

She might not eat out that much because she is allergic to dairy, gluten and soy.

Places in LA, high end places are much more expensive. You can conceivably spend 500 on one meal. Especially if shes paying for other people. I was impressed with the amount she gives to charity each month.

And she only spends $250 on groceries and household items. Considering she barely eats out and probably shops organic, my mind is further blown.

On TMZ it said she actually spends 1000 on groceries on 500 on eating out.

That is per month.

She is buying for one person so that sounds about right to me.

That actually isn't bad. Consider how much money she makes.
