Am I the only person suddenly getting pop-ups when they check the boards using the classic version of the site? This only began happening to me yesterday, and I'm using an iPhone with my Safari pop-up blocker turned on. I've never gotten a pop-up before on my phone until now. I cleared my history and cache already, and it's still happening.

Yeah, that's the one! I'm on an iPhone 4 using Safari.

It's been happening to me for a while, and I've even switched phones (iPhone 4S to 5S) and same problem. My phone jumps to the App Store, usually to some war game, sometimes to a candy game.

It's easy enough to just press the cancel button everytime, but it's so annoying. I was scared that my phone had somehow caught a virus. Can that even happen? I'm so ignorant about smartphones.

I was unable to use the site for about half of yesterday. I could get to the front page, but it wouldn't fully load. Down the bottom it said waiting for illiweb.com . However, the problem now seems to have resolved itself. Still, worth a look if you have any idea what the cause is.

Where are you located (physically)? Inversed was having slow access this week too, and she's in Kentucky. My theory was that some server between her and SF was malfunctioning, so the traffic was going the long way around the obstacle.

Western Australia. UTC + 8, if that's any help. I have no idea where SF is physically located, but I suspect I'm further away from it than Kentucky.

No idea. Tell me if it starts happening regularly. There's nothing I can do unless it can be reproduced.

Same thing for me and I'm in Pennsylvania. I actually couldn't even get to the front page, it would load halfway in the status bar and then stop. This was happening last night, I didn't try it during the day so I don't know if it as glitchy then.

I was having the same problem a few days ago, and I'm in Oregon.

I get that "waiting for illiweb.com to load" thing quite frequently. It always clears up after a little bit, but it is annoying. I assume it's some glitchy ad server.

The thing is, turns out illiweb.com is the site that serves all the artwork on Forumotion. It's not some rogue thing we can just stop. If lots of people are routinely having trouble, we may have to start thinking about moving again.

Of course it would be something significant. We can't have any minor glitches, can we?

Well let's not panic yet, I mean they might be having temporary glitches and it will go away. My googling turned up a similar problem with them from last year, and apparently that went away…TILL NOW (*0OOOO0000OOO00000000000theramin noise*).

For the record, I haven't found it particularly bothersome. I would assume that if it's a major enough problem, it will be high enough on Forumotion's radar to actually fix. I realize that wasn't the case with our old home, but, well, maybe I'm being too optimistic, heh.

But I mean, I think it's happened to me on two occasions, and it cleared up pretty fast both times.

That's my take on it, for the time being at least.

Is anyone else having an issue where the ad banner sometimes sits on top of the actual forum?  Like this.

Sometimes I see an empty box draw on the left-hand side of the page before the banner appears below where the box was.  I'm using Firefox 27.0 on Windows 7.

(I actually saw the empty box draw again when I hit submit on this post.)

Same here and I just use Internet Explorer.

I'm getting in Chrome too - not all the time, just sometimes.

It went away for awhile, but now that Milky Way ad is back and the same problem is happening...

I think this ad thing either falls under stuff I can't do anything about, or by the time I get someone to do something the problem will have taken care of itself.

For some reason, threads aren't showing up as read after I've read the new posts. Anyone else having that problem?
