Either Jennifer Aniston is hiding a pregnancy, wants even more speculation on her uterus, or she just enjoys the exaggerated belly silhouette.

Considering she's been drinking and smoking, I'd say she's trolling us. Heh. I'm more amused by how orange Justin is. Matching tans with Jen? It must be love.

Tomorrow is the big day! Anyone else excited for this year's Oscars AKA Gown Day?
Here is my wishlist for tomorrow:
-Colour!
-Risk-taking
-Lots of people to show up, not just nominees.
-Jessica Chastain to turn it out
-Viola Davis to rock her natural hair. And maybe wear a gold dress.

I think there's a good chance of both, whee! There doesn't seem to be one definitive gown trend this year (fishtail hems! red! sequins!) so I hope people will get creative.

I have high hopes for this, since she's worn it natural to the last two events I've seen pictures from. Both times I was like, "Who is that stunning woman? Oh hey, it's Viola Davis!"

Sooooo excited for the gowns tonight. I'm also hoping for Meryl to turn it out because she looks great when makes an effort. But I have a feeling that since she probably does not expect to win, she's probably not going to get all dolled up.

I'm also hoping for colorful gowns, although the word is to expect a lot of orangey-red dresses. I suppose that's better than all the nude/blush ones we've seen the past few years.

Oooh, I love orangey red. Watch me eat my words if they're all hideous and tomatoey, though.

I think I'd like the dress in a different color or material. There's something about it that makes me think of the lining of a pool.

Add Emma Stone to that list, emrie, and I think that's my best-dressed list, too.

I hated the cutouts, which were made even worse because they apparently were fake cutouts!

I just had a closer look, and huh, fake cutouts. What the hell? I expect that from an ice-skating costume, not an Oscars dress.

I wasn't nuts about Emma Stone's. I liked it in theory, but I think she needed either a different hairstyle or a longer neck to pull it off. Rooney Mara's would have been nice but for the weird cut around the boob area. Penelope Cruz was divine.

Loved:

Stacy Keibler: that dress was stunning, although the piece of fabric over one arm annoyed me (as it always does when it looks like the designer just forgot to put one on the other side, too). I think her height is what enabled her to pull off the whole look (although I also would have *loved* to have seen Angelina in it). Hated the hair, though (and she wasn't the only one doing that side-swept thing either; all the women who tried it looked silly, IMO).
Jessica Chastain. I think it's my favourite of the night because it was just so different, and the gold worked so well with her skin and hair. She was luminous, and I bet the dress looked gorgeous in motion.
Glenn Close. Terrific colour and fit on her, and she's making the jacket work, too.

Disappointed by:
Melissa McCarthy (and she was doing so well!)
Viola Davis. LOVED the colour but the material had a weird sheen to it up top.

Liked:
Penelope Cruz (she's so cute in this shot!). Beautiful colour, beautiful dress.
Cameron Diaz (although her hair is terrible).
Gary, Gary, Gary! Fabulous tux (and his wife looks amazing, too).
Virginia Madsen. Not the most exciting design but the colour was yummy, and looked great on her.
Nancy O'Dell. I have no idea who she is but she is actually carrying off that dress, and that is no mean feat.

Didn't like:
Sandra Bullock. Maybe if it had been more tailored through the middle, although the puckered seams in the back make the whole thing look kind of cheap.
Sheri Shepherd. Just no.
Emma Stone. The neck bow looks like it's about to consume her entire head.
Michelle Williams. At least it wasn't her usual twee style (although I'm totally over her pixie cut).

Favourites: Jessica Chastain and Glenn Close.

Unpopular opinion: Milla's dress was very 'meh' for me. I mean, she looked beautiful, and it is a lovely dress, it's just that when I read the first reviews where people were all OMG about it, I was expecting something...not so basic. Loved her hair and makeup, though. That old school Hollywood glamour thing really works for her.

I'm definitely looking forward to the Fug Girls' commentary on Gwyneth's supergirl look, although I will say I think she's making it work, at least from that shot.

Gwyneth was probably my best dressed. I hate typing that.

I thought the dresses at the ceremony were mostly safe and dull. So luckily the afterparty gowns made up for it!

Emma Stone

Kate Beckinsale

Elizabeth Olsen

Elizabeth Banks

And this might have worked for Meryl or maybe Blanche Deveraux, but not a 20-year old Miley Cyrus

And finally, one of the worst dresses I've seen in a while, Lily Collins.

I may or may not have thrown my hands up in the air and yelled, "Chastain sticks the landing!" when I saw her. She's so lovely, and she's looked SO BAD at some of the awards season events that I was a little worried she'd show up in something made of aluminum foil and pipe cleaners.

Pre-Oscars, I loved Zoe Saldana's dress at the Independent Spirit awards.

My favorites were Chastain and that little girl from the Descendants, Shailene Woodley. I actually thought she was younger than 20 in it, but I still really like it. I also liked Paltrow's, but I think it aged her.

Meryl Streep also looked fabulous. The moment I saw her dress, I thought she expects to win. And Viola Davis's dress was a pretty color, but something about the cut didn't do much for her.
