Yeah, I have a bad feeling that "looking worse for the wear" in that article is a euphemism for "looking as high as a kite". I hope I'm wrong.

That's exactly how I took it. Unless he's loopy from absolutely no sleep since his kid was born. Even then, the comment was inexcusable.

Was the "tits" remark recent? I ask because the description she gave made it sound like it might have been from when he was going through problems awhile ago. This is the phrasing I mean:

The ITV breakfast host, 54, who has a 36C bust, said: ‘Robert was not quite himself. He had a time in his life when maybe he was discovering himself, having issues.

and the context was her whole 30 year career interviewing celebrities. None of that excuses his saying it, but I did know he was a jerk for quite awhile so if it happened in that period, it at least makes sense of it.

I guess I'm confused what source is that phrasing quoted from? The linked source of Spin says it was from an interview "today" and the source is dated as Nov 7, 2014.

Frankly I think RDJ has fallen off the wagon before this, and with a new baby and Indio's public battles obviously his stressors are high right now, so I would not be surprised if that is the case.

His son is having addiction struggles, his mother recently died, and he has a new baby while at the peak of his career such that being a (sober) asshole probably gets zero blowback... that's not an excuse but it might be an explanation for ridiculous behavior. I really hope he's not off the wagon.

The interview with Kelly was recent. Kelly's interview with Downey was "several years ago":

British morning TV host Lorraine Kelly said the actor made the racy remark before the two sat down for an interview several years ago.

I couldn't even pick a few from the article itself, so I linked to a different article that pulled what they thought were the best ones. Here's my favorite:

"School is not authentic because it ends. It’s not true, it’s not real. Our learning will never end. The school that we go to every single morning, we will continue to go to," Jaden said. "Kids who go to normal school are so teenagery, so angsty."

"They never want to do anything, they’re so tired," Willow added.

Look, I know 90% of teenagers are all a bit pretentious, but that interview might be the single most pretentious thing I've ever read. I also detect an (un)healthy dose of Scientology style thinking in there. Future clams?

Current clams, I think. Will Smith has been very successful in keeping that out of the press, but yeah aside from "dumb" those quotes scream Scientology.

Trey seems sensible. Do you think he looks at his siblings ever and is just like "man, in ten years y'all are going to be EMBARRASSED".

I actually remember a few teens like them at my high schools. The pretentious, generally high ones, and they turned out okay, but the Smith kids are exacerbated by tons of money, a public forum, and parents that are like yeah spread your wings and fly. Which is great in a lot of ways but in others...
