OUAT in Wonderland
So, I watched it. What is up with casting such bland people? First we have Agent Cardboard on SHIELD, and now we get two people magically in love that I really do not care about. Alice was at least a bit spunky, but her "true love" Cyrus was boring as hell Yes, he really was not in the episode a lot, but everytime he was I started yawning. Michael Socha has more personality in one magnificent eyebrow than the two of them.
And what the hell was up with the Red Queen and her over plumped lips?

Re: OUAT in Wonderland
I can recite Alice start to finish, like I was some character in 'Fahrenheit 451', so I approached this with some trepidation. Well justified, it seems. There were some high points. Loved Alice. Knave was great. Strange Trix CGI rabbit was offputting. Cheshire Carnivore - odd direction, though possibly interesting. The Red Queen, however, came from a different show. Or fashion show. Like the Miss World pageant fashion show. She was just tacky. Bewildering.
Also interesting that we came in rather late to the (M.T.) party. Alice and her dull true love had already been on adventures and stuff, we came in media res. Nice change.
It will be a challenge, given the many storied history of 'Alice', to put aside prior versions (such as ones with Kathy Bates and Andrew Lee Potts) against which it would be unfair to measure.
Oh. Jafar. I blacked out for a moment. Not 'Alice' anymore anyway.

Oh, I love Michael Socha, and I was happy he was so Michael Socha-y in the premiere. I was afraid he was going to be a little bland, since bland seems to be the watchword for Once Upon a Time.
I hope they make good use of his soulfulness as well as his humor. He really is an impressive young actor.

John Lithgow as the White Rabbit? I'm having flashbacks to that old Snarkfest story about some random guy in the movie theater saying, "Shit, you didn't tell me Lithgow was in this!"
