OK, so I thought I had got all of it... I found another small cache of really great Stucky fic by exploring other people's bookmarks. I now have about 90 bookmarked Stucky fics alone but here's another handful:

OMG, I can't believe I forgot this one- but this is a multi-ship one cause of the premise, so maybe that's why-
Steve Rogers has Groundhog Day syndrome and it's not funny, like at all:
When You Wake by seven foxes)

In which there are many confessions in church but not many in person:
To the One I've Sinned Against by Dira Sudis

In which Bucky has multiple personalities:
Ispeity Series by SkyisGrey: How Bucky survives 70 yrs of torture and how Steve learns to love the Brothers Barnes.

In which Steve is the one recovering from depression:
Of Pancakes and Caverns by the commodore_squid

In which we have another post Civil War fic:
Gale Song series by tomorrow's rain.

In which these author seems to really understand old timey gay culture and Brooklyn (lots of fic say "period appropriate homophobia" but rarely do they explore what gay life was like for gay people- rather they focus on straight acting life):
Roll On by jaxington
and
Anything written by author hansbekhart

In which a fan meets his idol and for once is not hideously disappointed:
THE Steve Rogers PROBLEM by relenafanel.

In which Steve and Bucky are really co-dependent and they have to move on before they can get back together:
Don't Ask, Don't Tell by AnnaFugazzi

It's been years since I've read fanfic because I just haven't loved anything enough to want to fall into that black hole again. But then I got hooked on Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries and I've basically thrown myself willingly into the abyss. If something new isn't posted on Ao3 or Fanfiction.net every few days, I'm like a junkie needing a fix. I'm not proud of myself. (Even less so on discovering there's going to be a Miss Fisher movie that starts filming at the end of the year. I'm doomed. It's been lovely knowing all of you.)

Ooh, let me know if you have any particular favorites. I read a few a couple years ago, but wouldn't know where to start now.

On Ao3, I recommend anything by the following authors:

LadyRoxie, Sassasam, Fire_Sign, RositaLG, flashofthefuse, Sarahtoo, SuiGeneris221B, deedeeinfj, olderbynow, and Satin_Swallow (but several of her stories aren't finished so if you're not interested in reading unfinished fics, skip them).

On Fanfiction.net, read stories by Gingham, Ardin, sunsetdreamer, TheLarkAscending82, and slimwhistler.

Let me know if you like them!

Sweet--I'm going to check them out. BTW, I just downloaded a Miss Fisher game for iPhone that I'm pretty excited to start playing this weekend. I live a glamorous life.

I kept hearing about this fantastic Supernatural fanfiction called Twist and Shout. I gave it a shot, and didn't last three paragraphs. It's set in early 1960's Las Vegas, a time and place the author obviously knows nothing about, and features a human Cas and Dean, (Sam is apparently AWOL) doing some vaguely PI-ish activities. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the show except that the characters have the same names and same appearances as the characters. From what I understand (I refuse to check it out), it's up to 100+ chapters.

Oh, did I mention it's a Destiel fic? That has to be the only reason it's so popular.

It's the most popular Destiel fic on there, right? I have a pal who loves Destiel fic and she can't stand that one. I remember I cracked up just reading the summary. Something about a deep swirling ocean or something? lol.

Mandalay, I have a bunch of Darcy-centric fics bookmarked if you end up liking her character.  Mostly Shieldshock (Capt. A/Darcy) and Tasertricks (Loki/Darcy...yes, I'm ashamed but one of the best fics, hands down, professionally quality level, is in this pairing), and WinterShock (Bucky/Darcy). I may have a few Wintershieldshock.  BingBangBoom has the Directions series with Darcy/Capt.America and it is one of the most realistic treatment of Steve as an actual young man coming of age, out of time, in a violent, media obsessed, hyper-sexual world who happens to be a superhero and Darcy is a self-centered lush, full of bravado but slowly matures as she navigate real love and its demands. Tasertricks has "A Morbid Taste for Ice" by sitehound at A03 and Fanfic.net which was actually the fic that plunged me into Avengers fic. New Mexico is practically its own character. The setting is so vividly a part of the story that you can feel the heat and the dust. Its a character piece hidden inside a good old fashioned Who Dunnit? that explores the moral relativity inherent in BOTH Loki AND Thor. And their view of the common folk of Earth as seen through Alien Royal eyes.

Bit late to the Sherlock party, but I have arrived and I've discovered the "Download" button on A03. So.Many.Good.Fics. I think I've read most of the "classics", but was wondering if there was any way to search for series on A03? For example, I'm not sure how I started reading "After the Fall" by Edhla because it's not something I would normally search out for (it's John/Molly) but I didn't realise that when I started then I was too into it to stop, and the series is looooong and brilliant!

If not, does anyone have an old favourites folder they want to dust off and recommend some epics? I read everything - johnlock, parentlock, mystrade (my absolute fav). Kobo tells me I have 102 fics downloaded (yes I've gone back and reviewed for the authors), but there are so.many.out.there!
