Yeah, I was really pleased with Latrice.

Dan Savage seemed to be taking things waaaaaaaaaay too seriously, IMO. I would have liked to see a lot more craziness from everyone in the debate (well, not lead balloon racist jokes) but he kept telling them to think about real issues. I mean, I love the guy (rereading his book The Commitment right now) and have tons of respect for the It Gets Better project but c'mon, this show is parody, live a little.

Why did they have to bring ANYONE back? Hail and farewell again, Kenya.

The top four queens' protest was GLORIOUS.

I was scared when Latrice had to lip synch (not surprised, mind you.. after watching everything, I figured she would be) until...

1) the song started.. if any of the ladies can do Aretha, it's Latrice.
--and--
2) Kenya ripped off her wig.

Santino even shook his head when she did that.

Also, Latirce totally owned the lip synch (and it was one of the best lip synch ever, in my opinion) while STANDING STILL. Kenya was acting like a hyperactive squirrel running all around her, but Latrice owned the stage.

To paraphrase The Princess Bride, never go up against Latrice when Aretha is on the line. That was beautiful. Kenya absolutely looked like a total twit scurrying around doing high kicks and weird acrobatic maneuvers.

Sharon has to win. I love Chad, but it'd be such a victory over Phi Phi.

Still in shock about Miss Latrice leaving.

All of this. I wanted a Sharon/Chad/Latrice Final Three.

It's just... Phi Phi is not as talented as Latrice. Full stop.

I'm rooting for Sharon now. (It helps that we share a hometown.) Honestly, though, Chad winning would be fine, too.

Aw, rats, tonight is a clip show and not the finale. Does anyone know when the reunion is? Or is that part of the slip show?

Aw, that is a total cheat not actually naming a winner in this episode, but they probably figured out no one watches the reunion otherwise...

I would have watched the reunion just to hear the scoop on why Willam got kicked off. But yes, more people will watch it now.

I'm pissed that after all that, including a total whitewashing of Phi Phi, there was no winner. I also hated Phi Phi for getting praise for doing the same thing that got Alexis Mateo knocked last year.

Aaargh!

Oh well.

I was going to watch the reunion anyway, to find out the scoop on Willam and hopefully see Latrice awarded with Miss Congeniality.

I was firmly on the "Anyone But Phi Phi" team but the more I think about it, the happier I am that Sharon won. Drag is an outsider thing anyway, but Sharon is an outsider even within that world because of her approach to it. I'm always glad when the weirdos and misfits get recognized for what they can contribute.

And Latrice for Miss Congeniality! I could have seen Chad getting that too, because she was a class act and I remember that one episode where Sharon went on and on about how nice Chad was, but really Latrice was the only real choice for that.

Okay, Willam made me laugh a few times last night, with the Rupaulogy and the sticker, but especially with the whole "I'm an egomaniac, but (Phi Phi) needs to be studied."

Latrice won Miss Congeniality, which... she was the best choice. She had the most entertaining personality of all of them. She's a blast.

Sharon won! Hometown girl! Pittsburgh rules!

The production number got me thinking that a drag queen variety show could be fun.

Going to see one of the Absolut Drag Race Tour shows tomorrow nite at a local bar. Tons of this year's contestants are supposed to be there, including Latrice, William, Chad Michaels, Sharon N., and Jiggly, as well as Chicagoans Jade (from S1), Didi, the Princess, and (sigh) Phi Phi. Crazily looking forward to it. Hoping to take Sharon to the side and convince her to be my drag mother (I need a hobby this summer) and REALLY looking forward to blankly staring at Phi Phi with bemusement and indignation.

I put the blame on Mimi Imfurst. What was that Muppety looking hot mess, anyway?

Mimi is awful (her behavior during Untucked was particularly revealing), but I thought Pandora had a lousy attitude. Rather than trying to make the best of a difficult situation, she seemed to just shut down. Of course, we didn't get to see all the interactions they had, so maybe Mimi just bulldozed Pandora into doing things a certain way, but the stuff that made it to air made it look like Pandora was disengaged from the whole business, didn't express herself clearly even when she had the chance, etc. I was really disappointed, because Pandora is one of my favorites.

I felt that Pandora had checked out of the proceedings, although she got stuck with the clunker of a partner. Pandora and Tammie Brown could have been glorious.

Totally agree that Pandora's 'tude didn't help her with this one. Still, reality show team challenges where someone can fully drag someone else down, those suck. And this is the format for the season, not just an episode or two? Ouch.

I guess this is their way of showcasing more queens without lengthening the season, though they coulda just done double eliminations instead of team eliminations...

Yeah, I'm sad Pandora is gone right off the bat. I really enjoy her. There are so many queens here I love that eliminations are going to be even more difficult than usual. Team Yarlexis? Rujubee? Latrila? ALL OF THEM.

Show is back! And no team challenges! And it didn't seem to suck!

Serena was kind of scary-looking, but I can't deny she kicked the other queen's ass at the lipsync.

I was very glad this show was finally back. Serena's runway look was horrible, but I couldn't deal with Penny not knowing the lipsync song. First, where were you in 2009/2010 when that song was everywhere? Second, they give the contestants the song beforehand and the main stage portion takes all day to film, so with breaks, she had time to learn it...the song is not that complex.

Also, they didn't even seem to mention the photo shoot challenge during the main stage presentation...it just felt like this was all based on the runway look. Still it's a good show so far. Not sure who I'm rooting for yet, but I'm loving that Alyssa and Coco have a crazy history.

Serena needed to go home. She wasn't as polished as the others, especially when you compare her to Coco Montrese and Roxxy.

I loved the group lip synching challenge, that was great.
