Mr. Robot
I finally caught up on this show, and am liking it a lot despite some issues (not totally crazy about the female characters or Elliot's paternalism/sexism toward them) but I'm loving it's cinematic quality and allusions to various other genre classics (Fight Club, Blade Runner, A Clockwork Orange). Certainly it's a real style/substance break from the USA networks breezy fun brand.
So I'm pretty sure their going with Mr. Robot is Tyler Durden, but I kind of hope he's real, because I think their not playing entirely fair with how they choose to treat that character in the way he's filmed. Sometimes they act like no one can see him and sometimes they film him like he's real, and it feels like a big cheat to constantly fall back on it's all one big erratic Elliot delusion/hallucination.
What I loved in the first couple of episodes was the way so many people were photographed with glassy robotic eyes, it was an excellent way to reiterate that you can't really trust Elliot's POV, but also in the same breath insinuating he's right to be paranoid.
Anyway I really love Shayla and hope she is okay, and also I want to know how Vera figured out Elliot was the one to rat him out, unless he knew about Elliots affinity for computers. Hmm. Otherwise all I saw was him look at an evidence photo all DAMN yo I see you ELLIOT. Uh, okay.

Re: Mr. Robot
In the near future, I predict that 'Mr Robot' will be used in TV writing courses to represent the best example of 'unreliable narrator.'

Sigh, poor Shayla bit it, I can't imagine how Elliot will react to this...loss, both in the human terms of losing Shayla as a person, and in the bigger scheme of being played by Vera.
I love Swedish Patrick Bateman, and his wife, event though he reminds me more of creepy Cillian Murphy, he's obviously going to take down the current CTO.
Still loving the show even though I think it's so cinematic in the way it's filmed I sometimes feel like it's a movie edited for TV rather than a tv show shot and edited for the beats that tv has to follow because the cuts to commercial are almost always weird and choppy.

I love this show! And the Darlene reveal a week ago was transformational. And then this week...my word. Rami Malek should have all the awards--he makes this show. I'm preaching it to everyone right now.

I love it too! I'm all caught up, and wow. I don't have too much else to add that hasn't already been said,
I'm going to watch the episodes I have again when I've got time, I want to see if I can pick up some other details.
Between this and Archer I'm glad Christian Slater is a thing again.
- Spoiler:
- but to be honest I'm a leeetle bit disappointed that Mr. Robot is Elliott, I liked the character, well, to be honest I like Christian Slater, but I also loved the mindfuck.

Re: Mr. Robot
I gave this one five episodes, but just didn't care about any of the characters nor what they were trying to accomplish, so decided to opt out. I don't get all the mega praise the show is receiving, but then again just because it's not my cup of tea doesn't mean it isn't good.
