Man, he has had some Issues, and it sounds like he's probably not off the drugs. Too bad. Is he still on CSI?

Yeah, the character was getting self-destructive. Much like the actor. (I would feel more sympathy if he hadn't just hit his girlfriend.)

This is the most bizarre thing. I can't decide if this is just some kind of sensationalistic way to capitalize on the 30th anniversary or if they really do have something that could change things. The whole thing just feels so surreal. I mean...it's Robert Wagner and Christopher Walken. I just...wow.

Maybe the earball witness that heard someone say "Take it easy. We'll be over to get you" remembered they followed it up with "you'll be wearing gold plated diapers."

Re: Celebrities and the Law
I'm skeptical - it feels like the captain is using the 30th anniversary as a chance to flog his book, and the fact that the investigation is reopened gives him a little more credibility this time around. He's not saying anything that he hasn't been saying for years.

Re: Celebrities and the Law
I don't understand this whole investigation. I mean, the police are already saying Robert Wagner isn't a suspect. Yet that's what the captain is claiming, basically, that Wagner is guilty somehow, right?

Re: Celebrities and the Law
He may not be a suspect but I bet he's a "person of interest". I don't know...I always felt that Wagner was responsible. Even if it was an accident (maybe an argument lead to a slight push that resulted in her falling off the boat) the whole story always rubbed me the wrong way. And if what the Captain is saying is correct it is highly suspicious that Wagner did not want the Coast Guard called. This is all so fascinating to me.

I've always gotten that feeling too. Not that he intentionally did it but he was known for being extremely jealous and he was very inebriated. I could see one thing leading to another and him freaking out about it.

Re: Celebrities and the Law
But they were ALL pretty ripped though, right? Multiple bottles of champagne (and yes I just flashed to The Continental) and a bunch of quaaludes, all on a boat? It isn't that mysterious to me that someone ended up dead, accidentally or on purpose.
It really IS strange though to reopen the case and to go out of their way to say Wagner isn't a suspect, if he *were* a person of interest why not say so?
If Wagner isn't a suspect, than does that mean Walken IS? It definitely seems like there was some crazy dynamic going on between the three of them that night. I think I've always bought the Natalie walked in a Walken/Wagner thing more than the Wagner killed her in drunken rage theory.

They've said that Walken isn't a suspect either.
Who knows but I've always found it sketchy.

I didn't want my first post at new Snarkfest to be something so horrible, but passing this on will cleanse me of it somehow.

Ugh, he really is a terrible person, and this is the same guy who said Spanking the Monkey was autobiographical.
