Oh. My. God.

I hate Clay so much. So, so much. He can go to hell. I really hope Jax or Tara kills him before the end of the season. Or that he's ripped apart by dogs.

I'm so glad that Chibs is finally going to step up and force Juice to admit what's going on. Juice so needs someone on his side right now, and I think that Chibs is the best possible person for him.

The chili. Oh, lord the chili. So, creepy. But the dark kind of humour I've been missing.

But Piney... *sniff*

I don't think Clay will die till the series is over, but oh when he does die it will be sweet.

I am worrying for Tara. Jax DO NOT ADVISE HER TO TELL YOUR MOTHER OF THIS PLAN. YOU ARE THE ONE WHO SAID GEMMA WOULDN'T HAVE LET YOUR FATHER TAKE YOU AWAY. JESUS.

When did Gemma become the stupidest person on this show? The level of stupidity and willful blindness in her baffled me tonight.

In other news, I'm even more worried about Juice, which I fidn't think was possible. I just really wish he and Chibs would go Nomad.

Tonight's episode was straight-up horrific. There were two scenes I couldn't even watch. I had to cover my eyes.

After this Tig is going to kill Clay. Kill him. Pope is shaping up to be an even scarier villain than Adam Alda.

What was with Tara's Gemmarific shirt? She goes to work in see-through tops now?

Have we seen anyone with one leg before tonight? Who could that guy be?

And this season, Joel McHale!

Oh my GOD. I am going to assume Pope doesn't know Tig is a sociopath. Because he should have killed Tig after making him watch Dawn die. It's fucking TIG, and he is going to lose it.

I missed all of S4, so can someone tell me how Gemma and Clay found out Tara had Maureen's letters?

Tara had the letters in her briefcase and Abel pulled out the letter from Maureen to Jax to draw on which Gemma found and then told Clay.

I just watched the first two episodes of Season 5 last night and holy crap. That was grim. Harold Perrineau is so scary. Poor Dawn (Margeaux-with-an-x). And poor Laroy. God, that was rough. I'm really enjoying Jimmy Smits.

I'm kind of curious to see if Fawn comes back and what her deal is. And I shudder with fear over what Tig's retribution will be. Clay is still slimy as hell. And aw, Opie. I really do want him and Lilah to work things out.

Dammit! Our DVR cut out right as Jax called Tig over in the prison. What happened in the last few minutes?

So was in response to Gemma telling Clay about the letters?

They are really going for that visually, right? Tara has gone from long, straight shiny dark hair to bangs, platinum blonde streaks and JBF layers.

Dammit! Our DVR cut out right as Jax called Tig over in the prison. What happened in the last few minutes?
He told Tig that the witnesses to his hit and run on Pope's daughter are going away and in return Tig has to back his every move as president. Tig vowed to follow his orders.

Damn. I didn't think Season 2 could be topped in intensity, but this season is doing my head in. I saw the outcome of the scenario Pope posed as soon as he said it. It was set up so clearly in the previous eps but it didn't hurt any less. :(

Right? It didn't hit me as hard as I expected. Maybe because they've been distancing him from the crew ever since Donna died.

But, hold on a damn minute. This whole show is supposed to be loosely based off of Hamlet, right? So, I've always had Opie as the Horatio character in my head... which definitely means he should be the only one to NOT die. So, who's Horatio? Or has Sutter given up the Hamlet comparison completely?

I second the Hamlet confusion. I'd always figured the series would end with Clay, Gemma, Jax, and Tara dead, Opie the last man standing, and Alvarez as Fortinbras taking over Charming.

Oh, and I had Bobby pegged as Polonius, but now I wonder if it could be Tig.

Piney - Polonius
Opie - Ophelia

It's all starting to make sense.

Maybe Tara is Horatio?
"Loosely" based on Hamlet is an understatement in my interpretation!

Wow. I cried a lot. That was brutal. Poor Opie. And poor Jax. He's an idiot, but he was also dealt an unwinnable hand. That last scene between him and Pope was pretty fantastic.

I'm tiring of Gemma. She needs to look at who she is, what she does and take some damn responsibility for what's happening around her. No wonder Tara doesn't want her around the kids. Like, instead of siccing Wendy on her, why not, say, ease up on the pot and booze? Or maybe not go crazy on A.Tis just 'cause Clay banged her. She never thinks things through. She's perfect for Tig in that way.

One of the things that hit me hardest in that scene is that Tig couldn't bear to watch it. Fuckin' Tig had his back to the glass, man.

Here is Sutter on the episode. He confirmed that Jax was basically going to give himself up, which I was a bit confused about.

I think it was initially based on Hamlet and that is still a clear influence but I think they stopped following it very closely in season 2.

So sad. Poor Opie. He had the worst life ever. First he was put in jail. Then his wife died. Then he got put in jail again. Then he married a porn star to get over his wife. Then he found out his biker gang killed his wife. Then his dad died. Now hes dead. Also whats going to happen to his kids? I don't see that stripper babysitting them forever.

Just watched the first three eps back-to-back-to-back and am shellshocked. Between Tig's daughter getting killed in the worst imaginable way, to Ope sacrificing himself in the most brutal way...I'm empty. Man, I'm surprised my neighbors didn't come check on me I was shrieking so much. And then...sobs.

Poor Opie. But really, his kids. They will be f'ed up for life between their mom, dad, and grandpa. I mean, whoa.

On another note: Tara is a smart woman, or used to be. Can't she see she is becoming Gemma? Like, spot-on?

I think shes gonna realize it and have a total freak out over it but right now shes too into her own issues with her hand (I have this feeling that if the Wendy thing goes to a custody battle shes going to be found to be drug free and Tara is going to be caught with weed in her system and that might be her wake up call) . But yeah I was like at least maybe lay off the weed.

So happy to have a semi-fun episode. Well, except the ending, of course.

Walt Goggins is awesome-sauce.

Goggins was amazeballs. And I may be wrong but I think Venus may come around about Tig.

This week's (aborted) sex scene was considerably less comical. I did not see Carla's downfall coming about quite that way.

I will enjoy whatever limited time we have with McHale.

I was so happy to see Marcus and Henry again. I've really missed them, especially Alvarez, this season. He's been such a major part of the first four seasons. I was really happy to see Unser finally give Gemma a piece of his mind, and I really want him to be the one to bring Clay to justice.

I hate what they're doing with Tara this season. And I can't help but think that Clay might be right about how things will go with Pope. However, I do think that Pope has a genuine interest in seeing Jax succeeding. Mostly, though, I'm really missing the presence of the Winston family. I hate that they killed them both off.

Sutter talked about another main cast death and I am concerned it will be Gemma or Tig as I will miss either of them far too much. The Gemma/Jax Oedipal element has kicked into gear and has turned on its head with Jax now pimping out his mother. That was so hard to watch because as off the wall as she is, Gemma has been beaten, raped and robbed for the club. Tara has always been arrogant about not being a biker chick in the mould of the other club women so her drug use and violence and her mothering in her Gemmaficaction makes sense. Maggie Siff is very good. Jax's reaction to the loss of Opie and his own emerging darkness is harder to watch, sickening even. Following Gertrude's arc, I think Gemma may sucide, perhaps making it look like an accident or implicating someone else in her death.

Pope may take out Tig as Jax promised he could, as Hamlet sold Rosencrantz and Guildenstern up the creek for being spies. I don't want to be Tig-less :( Hopefully he'll get his night of passion with Venus.

I'd be willing to bet money that it's Juice. I'm guessing Clay kills him because of the Rico stuff, lies about why Juice did it, which comes back to bite him in the ass because Chibs'll be able to figure out how Roosevelt blackmailed him.

I wish it were Tig. Pretty much all of the bad of this year could have been prevented if he would just think before doing. Of course, Clay would also be ideal. And if it happens, I hope it's Tara pulling the trigger.

I'm starting to feel real badly for Bobby and Happy and Chibs. Even Filthy Phil and Chuckie. They've saddled themselves to a real dumb gang and things keep getting worse, not better. Maybe they should break off and form their own charter.

If Chibs dies I may start crying. I am inordinately attached to him and Tig. Also, I loved the quiet shock Chibs and Happy showed when Jax executed that dude on the roof. Never thought Charlie Hunnam could be so scary.

I assume Jax will kill Clay at the end of the final season as it has been pointing that way dice we first saw him reading JT's journal. Clay is so powerful a manipulator that its hard for me to see how the club (and the show) will not implode instantly when he dies. His antagonism is almost the glue holding them together. Since Dawn's death, the show is running the fatherhood theme on high, so I'm waiting for Nero to reveal his dark side. I was convinced that he picked up Gemma in order to get in with SAMCRO because he's otherwise too good to be true. It's weird that such a smart businessman would devote so much time to damaged goods like Gemma, dole out sage advice to Jax, pay off Frankie etc unless he intends to milk them dry, inform on them or take them over for the sake of his own kid.

I am kind of hoping that Tara's Gemma beat down was captured on CCTV and maybe Gemma or that hospital admin woman will slip a copy to Wendy who can roll in and take custody of Abel. Not to punish Tara or Jax but just to enjoy some soap opera shenanigans on that level because I'm dreading seeing Gemma and Clay be all Rihanna and Chris Brown.
