Ben Aaronovitch
I just finished the latest Rivers of London book, which I enjoyed quite a bit, although not as much as the one where
In this one, I was a little confused about the end, actually.
Detail I most loved in this book: the Faceless Man's choice of reading material. I gather he reads it for the baddies.

- Spoiler:
- Why didn't Phoebe end up getting charged? Wasn't she the one with the pills? I gather the case was actually pretty simple: Aiden sold bad drugs to the Faceless Man's daughter Christina, who died, and Aiden was then killed by the FM. The FM was actually Chorley, who indeed was planning to do in Phoebe also, if the Americans (heh) and Peter had not walked in just as he was building up a proper gloat. The whole subplot with Reynaud, Christina, Lady Helena, Caroline, and the Third Principia was all a side thing. Chorley, who did not kill Christina, was genuinely upset, hence the murderous rampage and all the comments by Nightengale and Peter about the Faceless Man being a bit off his feed.

Re: Ben Aaronovitch
While Aaronovitch is currently my favourite living author, I don't remember much about the second half at all. I read the whole book in one day. Maybe I should go back and read it again, slower.
