So has everyone seen Bad Lip Reading by now? It has some political stuff--the Rick Perry one is my favorite of the lot--but there are some music video parodies in there too, so I think we're safe on the no politics rule.
"Save a pretzel for the gas jets!"

I have fallen a bit in love with this video of Jill Hennessy (of Law & Order and Crossing Jordan) covering Lady Gaga's "Just Dance". I may have watched it thirty times or so.

Very cool while at the same time slightly discomfiting: A Day Made of Glass. I know nothing about the technology involved in this, but it doesn't seem like a huge stretch.

I like the comment below it: "Looks like Windex also has a future."
Re: YouTube and Online Videos
I've seen most of those technologies discussed or presented before (some for over a decade). Nothing impossible there but that doesn't mean there's a market either. I would bet that we'll see at least a couple of them eventually.

Is Barry breaking up with himself in the 1st video?

Ever since you first posted this on SF, it has become my gold standard of cheesy 80s music videos. Whenever the topic comes up, I am always like, "Yes, but have you seen the video in which Barry Manilow is a sad clown who breaks up with himself while hanging out with extras from Fame?"
His hair is fascinating.

I loved that! Thanks for sharing.
It reminds me that I think that the Cheers theme is the best TV songs ever. Not counting any action series theme written by Mike Post, naturally. Nothing beats Magnum, PI or The A-Team.

I can't remember where I got this one, so it may have been on Original Recipe SF, but this is too good not to share [again?] [for the very first time?] for anyone who has ever read a baaaaaad online review:

In reference to the Stuff You Wish Existed thread, a compilation of Sean Bean's death scenes. Warning: very violent and graphic.
Bonus clip: death by cow.

That was awesome! There were only 3 that I'd never heard (Firefly, Naruto, and True Blood), and I had no idea that "God Only Knows" was the Big Love theme!caltrask55 wrote:As a die hard TV addict I can't help but love this.

If anyone hasn't seen it already, Fascinating Aida's 'Cheap Flights' is an absolute work of genius.
I want two people to sing it with, but sadly I can't think of anyone who could sing it and NOT laugh.

This is technically an ad for Dermablend, but worth watching anyway. Is it an ordinary dude covered in fake tattoos by makeup artists? Or is it a tattooed dude covered in foundation by makeup artists? OooOOooooOooooOOOoo who can tell????
Impressive!
- Spoiler:
- Naw, just kidding, it's a tattooed dude. Dermablend said it took three makeup artists four entire tubes of foundation, plus primer and powder, to cover him totally.
Impressive!

The Zombie Song (Stephanie Mabey)
"If I were a zombie, I'd never eat your brain"
I feel like this should be played with Jonathan Coulton's song on the playlist.

I loved the first one, and this video is just as great! Apparently there's also a book now.
