I found a couple of really good performances by Randy Harrison (who played Justin on Queer As Folk) at Our Hit Parade this year. In this one, he starts by telling a hysterically funny story about himself when he was young, then sings "Moves Like Jagger" and tries to do a headspin in the middle of it. AWESOME! This one is a cover of Cage the Elephant's "Shake Me Down" and it's just beautiful.

The man has not aged a day in the last 10 years. It's freaky.

Heartbreaking but wildly inspiring video of a 14 year old dealing with bullying. A modern profile in exceptional yet everyday courage.

National Geographic photographer tells the story of how he WENT BLIND IN ONE EYE on his first assignment in Peru. He didn't want to leave the expedition so he didn't mention this small problem to anyone.

And a random bit of Mike Myers at the end. That whole thing was a bit surreal.

Yeah, I didn't even catch that at first. That's a hell of a lot of my teens and twenties all in one place.

Double post for new material. Glitchy sound, but John "Captain Jack" Barrowman from Doctor Who and Torchwood sings the themes to Spider-Man and Wonder Woman in a live concert. Fangasm.

I'm re-reading Catherynne Valente's 'Habitation of the Blessed' while waiting for the next book to arrive, so I figured this was a good time to re-watch the video Cat made to explain the myth of Prester John. It features action figures, My Little Ponies, a cat (well, two cats, if you count Cat), and the 12th century version of an internet meme.

I would like to ride a griffin, please.

Crowd-sourced Star Wars. People were assigned 15 second slots and did whatever they wanted to show that segment. So it includes Legos, animation, and bad costumes.

And it is awesome.
