I love Real Genius. Also, I consider his portrayal of Doc Holliday in Tombstone to be my single favorite portrayal of anyone ever.

Ooh, I love Tombstone and I love Val Kilmer in it. "I'm your Huckleberry". God, that brings me back. I think I have it on VHS even. (Some TV show recently used that line or I only saw it recently, it might have been filmed ages ago, and I cannot for the life of me think what it was. So annoying especially as I recognised the line and the context immediately and was delighted).

I also have a fondness for his portrayal of Batman/Bruce Wayne. The film overall was a bit psychedelic bonkers in a way but he was good.

It makes me so cross when people ignore symptoms like that. I mean, I do understand why they do it and I did it myself in the past and the reason I am against it now is because I spent so much energy and time trying to cope with symptoms and pretend I was okay when if I'd gotten myself treated, I could have enjoyed that time more and just lived my life. I hope this doesn't come against him in the long run and that things are okay.

When there was first suspicion something was going on with me, I was in deep denial (tbf so were some of my dancers), I am so grateful though that I did get it checked out, and even though it ended up being what I didn't want it to be, i caught it super early. Whatever it ends up being for Val, I hope the same for him. Especially since he has children, and I cannot imagine the frustration and fear they must be feeling.

My favorite Val performance is in The Salton Sea. He also was one of my favorite SNL hosts ever. Rock n Roll heaven, Palm Beach, that Top Gun ten years later thing? All gold.

Oh lord, I hope she'll be okay. I remember watching MTV when Whitney was pregnant and was being interviewed and she was so happy because she was married and was going to have a baby. It's just so sad how it actually turned out for them.

Oh God, no. It's unbearable when tragedy affects children's lives so deeply, like Peaches Geldof. I hope she pulls through.

People.com is reporting that the family is gathering together to say final goodbyes to Bobbi Kristina. So sad.

I just can't imagine what the family is going through. To endure the shock of Whitney's death just about two years ago and now this? That is beyond tragic.

USA Today says it not's true, they've been around her since the beginning. And yesterday was Bobby's birthday, ugh.
The whole thing is just so unbelievably sad to me. And the whole she's married/no she's not, her husband ("husband"?) found her/a friend found her just makes it even worse.

This is just all horrible and sad and tragic, I hope she pulls through. If 80 + year old Gordie Howe can recover from a near death stroke, than a young and vibrant girl has the same chance (yes medically I know there are different situations).

My first thought was that Star Wars has finished filming, hasn't it? Other than that, I hope he's all right. But between this and his ankle, he's had a rough couple of years.

I am a total asshole, but the first thing I thought when I saw that was, "wonder if Jennifer finally had enough of his wandering eye (and then some)"? Regardless, I hope he's taking care of himself, and that this was a help to him.

Cobie Smulders was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at 25, while filming HIMYM's third season. Sounds like it was pretty serious - I'm so glad she's doing well.

Holy wow. It's great that she seems to be doing so well. I just can't imagine getting that diagnosis at ANY age, much less at 25.

Damn. And now that I think about it...I remember online discussing how she looked tired/thin/worn during a couple of seasons there, and people were worried she had an eating disorder. I'm glad she managed to keep her privacy and is doing well.

I knew he had had a stroke a few years ago but I never heard how he was doing it--no shock considering how private he is. I hope he continues to get better because he had one of the greatest voices ever.
