Basketball
So the lockout continues -- they've decided to cancel games until Nov. 30. The million dollar question is: does anyone care? Especially when college hoops are just around the corner and Carolina is at the top of the pre-season polls, GO HEELS!??

The last lockout was one of the more entertaining things the NBA did since Jordan retired.

Kobe might do something in Italy. I don't know.
And I am not a Celtics girl but Delonte West wants my love by doing this.
This is the best thing hes done since he allegedly made LeBron cry by dating his mom because it gave me that most likely fake but still amazing application.
I say most likely because its Delonte. So who knows with him. He also tweeted that his charges were keeping him from making that over seas bank.

Reports are Chris Paul to the Lakers, and the purple and gold are working on landing Dwight Howard. Yes! Lakers vs. Heat in 2012 finals, book it.

If you need help disposing of the body, just say the word. I know people.

Stern and Cris Paul put to rest any hope that the last lockout fixed any of the league's problems and I say this as someone who doesn't want the Lakers to get another fucking superstar.

Re: Basketball
Couldn't disagree more. The Lakers (and Celtics, and Bulls) have done more for the NBA than David Stern or the balance of the rest of the teams in the league. I have the utmost respect for the Spurs and what that franchise has accomplished, but the truth is people want big markets and historically great franchises to be strong. Check the ratings for the finals when the Spurs won - nobody tuned in. Strong Lakers, Celts, Bulls, and Knicks (not that they've been any great shakes for years) is good for the league. So yeah, I'm all for CP and DH going to the Lakers to set up a few years of great L.A./Miami rivalries in the finals.

Basketball never recovered from letting the league atrophy around an overexposed Michael Jordan.

Re: Basketball
Well, whomever you want to blame - Lakers' management, Stern, etc. - the Lakers are in a mess now. There's no doubt in my mind they're trying to land Dwight Howard, but what it will take to get him at this point would probably leave them with him, Kobe, and nothing else.
I feel sorry for the GM of the Hornets, and I'm surprised he hasn't resigned after the last few days. It's just ludicrous.

Anybody feeling the March Madness? Next year we should have a SF bracket challenge. All the internets will belong to you if you win.

Basically, the Maloofs suck. As NBA owners; as businessmen, as "housewives" or whatever it is Adrienne claims to do, as human beings; they suck.
And they're pissing off Stern, which is akin to those idiots who taunted that tiger into mauling them a few years ago. So at least next week's BOG meeting is going to be the most entertaining shows these clown have put on for quite awhile.

And if by "embraces" you mean "trademarked."
I think he's cute, but I want five minutes with some tweezers while he's asleep.

Big deal. I guess the Magic decided to turn getting screwed into outright altruism by helping the Nuggets and Sixers along with the Lakers.
Love the deal from the Nuggets perspective and was shocked it actually was the talk of the town OVER Peyton Manning's 5 snaps.

Man, as of this morning I was leading our pool. Now I'm totally busted, so I'm rooting for all underdogs from here on out. That FL Gulf coast game was incredible.

Jason Collins, free agent center most recently with the Wizards, comes out in Sports Illustrated. His essay is lovely.
