Cougar Town

I am so glad that other people like this show because I adore it! We just finished season 2 and those articles on the internet make it seem like NOBODY is watching and that makes me sad. I actually have to record episodes so I can rewind them to catch up on lines I missed from laughing too hard.

Hee, excellent episode, I laughed, and I squeed over Travis/Laurie, I'm liking how the writers are handling it, by neither walking through that door OR closing it entirely. It definitely makes sense for the situation they are in, and I do think Laurie was almost wishing he'd reassert his feelings for her and give her a reason to declare the same. Travis pushing her back towards Wade was smart in that it does let Laurie see if that is something real, but it also saves him the straight up rejection/fail of them dating might be. I can live w/o actually seeing Laurie/Travis romance play out as long as I can see they will get together eventually (post-series) and it will be good.

I'm thrilled it sounds like even if this is shit canned by ABC, TBS is already in talks to pick it up for two seasons, yay! Especially if even poor Abed didn't know it was back on. Hee.

And ah, I was finding Dime Eyes crazy hot and super funny last night. "What was that for?" "You slept with Laurie." "I'll allow it." Dancing in the wind like Michael Jackson, wearing his glasses, and representing neutrality like Switzerland? All great.

Cougar Town picked up by ...TBS. I am just glad it's coming back!

Awesome, but like Travis explained going is just staying in another place! It really did sound like a fairly done deal in which ABC came out win/win, making money off the deal with TBS on the production side, *and* not losing any to keep it on the air on the network side. Also TBS has clearly been trying to develop a brand/identity that I think Cougar Town fits fairly well in.

Everybody wins with this deal! The fans get another season, TBS gets a new show with an established audience, and ABC makes money off of selling it to another network. I think it will get a lot better treatment by TBS than it would if it had stayed at ABC; they've already said that they plan on making it one of their flagship shows, and will probably give the premiere a ton of promotion plus will be running older episodes. ABC most likely would have held it until midseason and their attitude towards the show lately seems to be that it's currently getting the biggest audience possible, so they probably would have felt no need for a promotional push.

Travis' freestyle dance while wearing the iPad was both hilarious and incredibly heartbreaking. I am sad that we were SO close to Travis/Laurie only to have the rug pulled out from under us. The argument among the older characters about them getting together must mirror what the show writers think, since they are also divided over the issue.

I was so pleased to have the show back. Loved the mime torch, the preview and Michelle Williams!

Me too. I laughed so hard when they brought up Ambien as I've been reading a book about sleep that had just gotten to the Ambien/sleeping pills chapter and it's roofy like effects. Also: none-a-lingus.

I still really miss Big Carl.

Other than that I had ot keep rewinding because I was laughing so hard and missing the jokes!

TBS announced CT's renewal for a season 5! I guess the gamble paid off.

So exciting! The show has been really great lately. I'm glad TBS is giving it a chance and letting it grow.

I really like this season, glad it's renewed.
