Bad Movies You Love
My cousin was watching Spice World the other day and I was suckered into watching it. I had honestly forgotten how enjoyably terrible that movie is.

I love that movie. Especially the bus jumping over the bridge.
And basically anything Victoria does. "Should I wear the little Gucci dress or the little Gucci dress?...Or WAIT....the little Gucci dress."

Posh is the BEST. My favorite part is the montage of the girls in their action-oriented TV show, when all Victoria does is meow at the camera. I'd totally watch that show.

I just came across the dvd for Rent, which I don't remember buying.
My assessment of the movie remains the same: the music is fun, but the story... I sympathized with benny. At least he was trying to do something.

Some days, I'm really sad that my burglar took my copy of Vin Diesel's masterwork, XXX.

My mother loves that movie. It's the weirdest thing. She used to own the soundtrack too.

I know I should be ashamed of myself, but I laugh my ass off everytime I watch White Chicks. Whenever that Vanessa Carlton song is on the radio, I giggle because it reminds me of Tiff and Brit pretending to know the lyrics while their friends get all crazy jamming along to the song.

I went to a late night screening of the Room last night. It was a dream come true.

Near as I can figure Tommy Wiseau is some infiltrating alien that wasn't the product of much research on humans.Kiran wrote:I went to a late night screening of the Room last night. It was a dream come true.
Flash Gordon Let's take a bunch of Fellini visuals, Queen bombast, homoeroticism and S&M themes and package it as an event movie for kids.

With one acting instruction for von Sydow, Dalton, and Blessed: If you see someone going over the top, make that the new top to go over.

When you have BRIAN BLESSED in your cast, is there ever really a chance for anyone else to be "over the top"?

I've heard rumors that the U.K. version of the DVD for this movie has a commentary track from Brian Blessed. WANT.

The Long Kiss Goodnight owns this topic for me.

I have gotten SO much mileage out of showing people The Room. Genius directing there.
I miss some of the comments on that film from the old SF. I believe we were speculating at one point where Tommy Wiseau's native country was.

Titanic, Armageddon, and The Devil's Advocate are three movies I can never switch off whenever they're on TV. I haven't seen that last one in ages, but ohhhh, Keanu is magnificent in it!

Re: Bad Movies You Love
I don't know how many times I have to explain Flash Gordon is NOT a Bad Movie! It is the best Comic Book movie ever, I respect all these years later how much it wasn't trying to treat it's source material like it was anything other than it was: a freaking comic book, the colors popped, the set design and soundtracks rocked, and the acting was appropriately thought-bubble-esqe. Win.

"Flash I love you! but we only have 14 hours to save the Earth!" I love it.
I have this theory that if they showed The Room to every teenager, abstinence-only sex education could possibly work.

I love The Devil's Advocate. I snuck out of work with a guy I had a massive crush on to go see that movie, and I was sooo embarrassed. And I was 22! I blame non-stop Catholic school, heh.whatthedeuce wrote:Titanic, Armageddon, and The Devil's Advocate are three movies I can never switch off whenever they're on TV. I will watch Overboard whenever I stumble across it. I can't not watch it if it's on. Makes my husband crazy, but whatever. That movie is awesome.
