I like it...the singer is very "young M.I.A. meets Lana del Rey if she had charisma".Arabella wrote:"Royals" by Lorde

Re: What Are You Listening To?
I have no idea where else to put this, but I heard a band on a tv show a couple of days ago and I used to listen to them a lot but I can't remember the words or anything. I remember they're British, the guy sounds like he's singing through synthesizer, and he can speak French and the band has a couple of songs in French. And they're from the 90s or maybe even earlier. If anyone can just name a couple of bands that sound remotely like that I'd appreciate it - I'm sure if I saw the name I'd know it. But it's driving me craaaaaaaaaaazy. I mean the best I can come up with is they sound kinda like "the Servant". Or the "the Servant" sounds kinda like them because I'm pretty sure they're way bigger than the Servant.

no, that's definitely not it. Thanks though. Darn, hopefully I will stumble upon them randomly again.

That whole album is amazeballs. The best way to get Do I Wanna Know out of your head is to replace it with Knee Socks.

I usually hate the term earworm (it's gross!), but I cannot remember the last time I had a song, well, worm its way into my head the way this one does. Â There's a hypnotic devil magic going on in there, I'm sure of it.Unlucky Bear wrote:I can't get Do I Wanna Know? by Arctic Monkeys out of my head. Send help!
That being said, I'm not sick of the song yet, which is an amazing feat for something that gets stuck in my head this easily. Â Just this morning I turned it up on the way to work. Â I'm kind of dreading the moment I start to hate it, because that moment always comes with songs like this.

Re: What Are You Listening To?
The Bangerz stream on iTunes. FU is like a futuristic Adele torch song. 4x4 reminds me of Hoedown Throwdown, which is a good thing. You can definitely hear the country influences in Miley's voice. Loving the old-school Neptunes sound of #GETITRIGHT. My least favorite was the Britney collaboration. A lot of variety in the songs (quit a Lorde album stream less than halfway through because of the sameyness), but it's quite cohesive as an album.

The Chvrches, full length album The Bones of What You Believe over and over. Uncut hit of early 80's electro-pop sound, but still manages to feel current and modern.

Can't wait to get ny hands on St. Lucia's debut, When The Night. Ever since I saw him open for Two Door Cinema Club last fall, I've been waiting for his album to drop, and it's finally almost here!

Half-seriously thinking of rigging up a system whereby every morning I wake up to Radioactive. That is my Go Forth and Badass song of the moment.

Does anyone want a copy of Franz Ferdinand's new album? My cousin got two free downloads when she bought our tickets but I already have a copy. PM me and I'll send you the link and the access code.

Eminem's Rap God. Yeah, he's an egomaniac, but damn is he good.

If I could marry Bastille's Bad Blood album, I would. "Things We Lost in the Fire" is such a gorgeous song. Hell, all their songs are gorgeous. I wish I'd tried them sooner so I could have caughtthem during their US tour.

All the great responses to her latest release make me so excited to hear it myself. I was mesmerized when I saw her perform Grown Woman two weeks ago at her amazing Mrs Carter Show, and I knew it indicated nothing short of a fantastic upcoming album!

MILLIONITHING Beyonce!! I don't love every song on the album, but I've had the chorus of "Blow" and "XO" running through my head since I bought it.
