Oh god, that dancing video. That dancing video. I'm pretty sure I just went full-blown giggly fan girl.

Mads in a Danish Red Cross commercial with a bunch of other actors, each of them suggesting ridiculous, self-absorbed angles for the commercial.

Shadowlass, you may be starting something dangerous with all these Mads videos. In that I might end up sitting forever watching youtube while drinking cheap white wine.

Re: Hannibal
Ok sorry to take you all back, but I just started watching Hannibal (still unsure of it but am giving it a chance ) in the first episode - the guy Lecter gave a heads up to - is he the real killer of the girls or is Lecter? Sorry pregnancy brain still at work here.

Re: Hannibal
MichiSichi, the killer in the first episode is named Garrett Jacob Hobbs, and he indeed killed some girls. Hannibal also killed a girl in that episode, in a copycat manner, to point Will in the correct direction. You will hear a LOT more about both GJH, the girls, and who killed who as the season continues! Enjoy (hopefully, and in a non-creepy way)!

The Danes/Dancy household clearly must be super INTENSE. I hope Hugh gets nominated for this -- he deserves it.
Loved the final shot.

BRAIN CANNOT FUNCTION!! SO MUCH FUCKERY FROM THAT BASTARD!!! *FLAILING WILDLY*
Guys, about the veal. I know it was people but I'm so afraid that it's one person in particular and I shouldn't really be afraid because I've watched all the other episodes and I know how he operates so it's more that I really got to know the person I think it is and I'll be really sad so I don't want to think that it is the person I think it is. *gulp*

I knew right away when Belinda and Hannibal started discussing the ethics of veal. It made me feel so sick and sad.

How much did DuMaurier know?
Why are the roadtrips on this show always the WORST?
Why couldn't this have all just ended with Hannibal shanking Will with a linoleum knife?

Honestly after that last scene, I think DuMaurier knew everything. SHE ATE THE "VEAL"! That is what I can't get over.

Re: Hannibal
I don't know what she knew prior to that night, but I think she knew the moment she opened the door and he was standing there with food--I think she knew why he was there and what it had to be. She didn't even want to touch it until he basically challenged her, and the LOOK on her face when she finally did was amazing. But she SMILED? Almost like it confirmed something about him to her? Because if I'd had no idea until that moment, I don't know that I could have been so cool about it. AND THEN SHE WAS LIKE "omg seriously they're gonna catch on, slow your roll." I want to see more of her SO BAD.
Re: Hannibal
And Jack! I really shouldn't feel so disappointed in him. He's doing his job and he's following the (well laid) evidence. But man.... NOT OKAY, Jack. NOT OKAY.

It is.
P.S. Gillian Anderson is amazing.

Oh Abigail, the odds really were not in your favour. You probably would have had a better chance of making it out of the Hunger Games than you did out of Hannibal's thrall in one piece.
What a great episode. I spent most of it yelling at the laptop and waving my hands around. Alanna Bloom is a true friend. She not only wears fantastic wraparound dresses and has great hair, but she is loyal to Will. I did not care for the way Lecter was looking at her when she brought up the clock thing. Leave her alone, Hannibal, she is not dinner! I mean it!!!

Re: Hannibal
Oh, absolutely. And I was *certain* that Bedelia was going to be revealed as a serial killer as well. When she started on "they're recognizing your patterns" I was on the verge of screaming I KNEW IT! but then they pulled back from that. I can't wait to find out what their deal is, seriously. Not only did she eatparticle_person wrote:Honestly after that last scene, I think DuMaurier knew everything. SHE ATE THE "VEAL"! That is what I can't get over.
The whole veal discussion was both brilliant and horrifying.
I knooooow. The way he just focused in on her so intensely was scary. I was all, giiirrrrrrl, be careful...QueenSix wrote:I did not care for the way Lecter was looking at her when she brought up the clock thing.

Re: Hannibal
She not only ate the veal, you guys, but she mmmm'ed as she did so. Confession: I didn't put together that the "veal" was Abigail until I read this thread. Don't know how I missed that one.
I found myself leaning forward in my chair while watching the finale. I don't think I've ever literally been on the edge of my seat during a TV show before. Intense.
What a fantastic finale. It would have been a damn shame if after this finale the show wasn't picked up for a second season. There should be Emmy noms all around, seriously.

Re: Hannibal
Hey, who hasn't barfed up an ear after a long night on the town? *crickets*
I totally think Scully is on to Hannibal but is not a killer/cannibal herself. She never takes her eyes off him, never blinks, and has that moment of hesitation before she eats the "veal" (Abigaaaaaiiiillll, noooo) but eats it anyway, because I think she was afraid he would kill her if she didn't. And then that smug bastard smiles at her like he always does when he's feeding people to people. He really enjoys that.
Hannibal's smile at Will at the end was a revelation. Literally ("See. See."). Will now understands that there's been a game going on. And Hannibal gets to play with someone who's near his skill level for once - as good as having a real friend or maybe even better?

I was confused about the ear-barfing. How'd he get the ear in there? For that matter, how'd he get Will all scratched up and bloody?
MURDER WIZARD, I know. But still.
