Yeah, that would be such fun.

Who wants to blog about Sleepy Hollow for Entertainment Weekly?
If I did, the first thing I'd write about is my outrage that the cast hasn't been on the cover of EW yet.

I signed up just to see if anyone actually contacts me. Seems like an exhausting way to find a blogger; I wonder if they're looking for someone who already has a big online following to bring readers to their site.

Tomorrow is Nov. 4th. Finally a new episode...Woo-hoo!

I shouldn't be quite so excited, I'm probably not going to be able to watch it until Wednesday. I really have to work on Hubby to make him see that this is a series that we need to watch "live"...

So. I guess I'm off to work on him. Wish me luck!

Yep, this and Elementary are the ones I try to watch the night of as well.

Just tell hubs there's a good chance of zombies showing up. That might get him in front of the TV on time, LOL! (Oh, sorry darling. I thought for sure the listing said there'd be zombies on tonight's episodes. Maybe it's next week?) Heh.

If it doesn't work, tell him THOR will be in it! :-D

The clip for the first eight minutes of the new episode has been making the rounds on tumblr. It starts at about the minute mark and is delightful. I love Abbie's reactions and how she teases Crane. Nicole's really found her way with that character.

I can't decide which quote is the most awesome:

"Why can't I share fan-fiction?"

or

"I get to be in my living room with you, trolling my own show."

This guy!

You gotta love a show that has a Quaker lady in a pushup bra and showing cleavage. :)

I have to use "Hey! Basketface!" as an insult very very soon.

Yeahhh, nothing against the actress but there's not really much happening there at all, unfortunately.

Ichabod and Katrina's scenes together stop the show dead -- they have no chemistry whatsoever, so it makes the idea of them having this all consuming love story less and less plausible. Nothing against the actress, but I really think Katrina should be getting less screen time.

Heh, someone at TWoP pointed out every Katrina scene is basically a perfume commercial, and YES they seem to fall back on every single romance novel trope regarding her character, although a lot of that is on the direction or the acting choices. I had to love Jenny being all, "Next time you see that girl could you ask her to be more SPECIFIC." Hee.

That episode punched me in every one of my Ichabbie feels. HE CALLED HER ABBIE. Holy crap so good. And yes Quaker Witch was my favorite crack moment from this episode. Well that and the Sin Eater using a little Wicked Blood gravy.

I'm not too proud to admit I scoured Tumblr for screencaps of the last few minutes of this episode.

Well? Links, please! I'm asking for a friend. :D

I kinda hope "Abbie" won't become a habit. I love hearing him say "Lieutenant Mills" with the British pronunciation.

My whole thing with Katrina is her make-up. She's SO heavily made up with the eyeliner and the lipstick - I don't think the Quakers would approve, I really don't. It's okay in a dream sequence, but in those flashbacks it actually pulls me out. I'm not saying don't have her wearing any make-up, I'm saying leave the MAC VivaGlam at home and go with something subtle.

I did really love having her and Abbie in the same scene. It was time for those two to meet, even though Katrina almost got her killed. Like, she couldn't have waited until she wasn't driving to pull her into a dream world?

Also, I thought they'd make that guy that Ichabod freed into some ancestor of Abbie's. Just for the closing of the loop.

I laughed and ewwwed at the same time on that. WAIT THEY REALLY MEANT THE "EATER" PART??! No WONDER he doesn't do it anymore.

As for Katrina, I agree she and Ichabod have no chemistry, but…she's so pretty.

I really liked this observation about Abbie from io9's review of the episode:
It's one of the reasons Abbie is such a great character – that ineffable sense of heroism Beharie can slip in between exposition or humor or plot beats, so that it seems a natural extension of the bone-deep indomitable will that her journey with Ichabod has given her the permission to acknowledge, coming from a place of guilt for so long. Her life had become one that functioned on repression and service, and since Ichabod she's coming to accept that she's important enough to be worth mending. It's one of the reasons losing Ichabod would be so devastating for her; we buy it all.
Also:
<snip> the reason this hug is important is because we have been decisively shown how well they work together, and their awareness of it just seems like common sense.

Is it overly shallow of me to admit that I had to bite me lip to stop myself from letting out a fangirl squee in front of Hubby when Ichabod gave Abbie that deep bow after the baseball game? (holy run on sentence Batman!)

Hello, my name is Shanndee, and I am a shallow Sleepy Hollow fangirl...
