God that's AWFUL. So many comedians have some dark shit they're working out. I had always heard he was pretty troubled while on the show, but I figured it was typical addiction/self-medication with street drugs.

He's so damn good at what he does too. Shit.

That is so sad. I'd heard for years he'd struggled with addictions, but I didn't know he was going literally from the SNL set to the psychiatric hospital. Poor guy.

I remember there was a time when he missed a chunk of episodes mid-season and the rumors said he'd had a heart attack. That may have been the time he was in the hospital.

Oh, that makes me really sad. They were making all kinds of jokes about his health at the Charlie Sheen roast this year, and I thought they were just busting his ass. I saw him at one of the Denis Leary gigs a few years ago, and he was just hilarious.

Oh that sucks. Do you remember in the early episodes of The Office, he worked in the warehouse? Here's a bad clip of it , but I always remember him saying DAMMIT MICHAEL. I hope he improves.

Oh, bless. She seems like such a good egg. My thoughts are with her and her family. Substance abuse is such a hard road.

I know that this is tragic and all, but...nitrous? Seriously? The last time I did nitrous, it was next to a guy wearing baggy overalls while techno music played, and shady characters sold ecstasy in dark corners. And I was in my twenties.
