Because someone should have started this already. And also because we've been discussing a "Christian Bale naked" film series over at the Stuff We Wish Existed thread. Let's get down to business, folks. Do you love him? Hate him? Not care about him at all?

I think he's really talented, but I don't find him attractive at all, and I really don't like his Batman.

Yup, I feel the same. I only found him really swoony once, as Laurie. That's it.

Also knowing how meh T4 turned out to be, makes his freakout on set even more funny to me.

He was probably my first celebrity crush because of Newsies and Little Women. Like blixie said, totally swoony as Laurie.

I agree; he's not really that much on my radar, but I find him really adorable as Laurie.

Little Women is what landed him on my childhood radar, and I've had a crush on him since then. I don't even enjoy most of his movies, but I love that he tries so many different things. Also, he makes an excellent orphan! Laurie and Bruce Wayne, FTW!

I adore his Batman, crazy voice and all. It shocked me to watch Batman Begins and hear Christian going out on that limb, knowing that some people would probably have a huge pone to pick with his decision. To me, it's completely logical that Bruce Wayne would disguise his voice and yet no one else has ever attempted to do that onscreen.

The guy who voices Batman for TAS and all those other things is different in and out of costume. But not that different.

I wasn't a huge fan of his voice, but I think he handled the non vocal part of the performances better then Kevin Conroy could have and I know that's an unpopular opinion.

Ahhh, I've never watched The Animated Series, but I applaud whoever voices the Bruce/Batman character in it for making the choice to disguise his voice as well! It just seems so logical to me because Bruce is a very well-known man, so everyone could probably recognize his voice even with the mask on unless he completely changed it to throw them off his track.

I was really hoping he'd had another tantrum/dance club music hit.

I really enjoy him as an actor, but that meltdown set to music might be my favorite thing about him ever. Whenever I see his face, a little voice goes, "The fuck are you doing!"

Binky, I do believe there's a hilarious vid on YouTube with the Newsies trailer set to the mix of CB's rant. Please do yourself a favor and hunt it down. I think you'll be glad you did. Here it be!

I'll always love him a LOT for Swing Kids. I think Swing Kids and Newsies are the only two Christian Bale movies I own. (We have the Batman movies, but my husband bought those.)

Oh, how I wish it were that version of Newsies coming to Broadway. Love you forever, Senor Bale.

Holy crap, whatthedeuce, I'd been looking for that clip! Bestweekever took it off its site and I hadn't found it again. Thanks! Heeeeheee.

Just thinking of that video makes me laugh so hard. All the boys dancing innocently, and there's Senor Bale cursing up a storm. Glad I could help you find an old fave, Binky!

I own Velvet Goldmine because in high school that was basically my idea of porn.

I can't believe I ever stayed awake through that movie. I was so curiois about The Scene with Ewan, but it was really nothing spectacular when I finally saw it. I wish I'd known enough to fastforward to it and save myself an hour of boredom.

Aw, I really like Velvet Goldmine. It's so pretty! Then again, I'm a huge fan of All the Little Animals as well, which I think most people find dull.

I love Velvet Goldmine too. But I first watched it when I was in crazy love with David Bowie and glam rock so it would have been hard for me to dislike it. I feel like it was the first thing I ever saw Christian Bale in where he was an adult.
