It's not fair - Australia looks like everything! Or everything looks like Australia...?

Half of mine are Brazil. Also, I now have a much better idea about which countries drive on the left.

I suck at this. The only one I've been within a hundred miles of is when I got Yellowstone. And even then, I got the wrong entrance so I was still 60 miles away. Also, I can't tell the difference between Portuguese and Spanish which is really screwing with me because I swear, 3/4 of mine have been Brazil.

I got a ton of Brazil last night!

If I can find a sign, I can generally get within 100 kilometers. It's the ones that are all trees and one road that are killing me. There are trees everywhere in the world! My worst guess was Argentina when it was Botswana, and my best was .16 KM from my exact spot.

I thought that was Vancouver.

I got one at the end of a dock, and I was unable to move anywhere else. Took a guess at Hawaii due to the scenery. Turned out to be right off the coast of Florida. Lowest score to date.

Turns out there actually WAS a glitch (hopefully fixed now) that was delivering More Than Average Australia.

It's Portuguese if you see "ao" anywhere. That's how I figure it out. I got a couple Brazils today too.

I literally just got a section of white-washed wall.

My fave so far was being dropped inside a restaurant. Couldn't get out! But I could look all over it. I don't even remember where it was now, but I was within 750 miles.

I lucked out and got dropped on a curving pier that led to a road with Spanish signs, that in turn led to a highway with route numbers, miles to the next town, and a reference to the Mediterranean coast. I zoomed around the southern coast of Spain for a bit, found the towns & right-shaped pier, and got within feet of my target. WOO.

I have learned there are no signs ever in Scandinavian forests.

I could play this all day long--it's Carmen Sandiego for the internet age!

The farthest off I've been was thinking a forest in Finland was New Jersey.

Yes! I was in a Finnish forest with a road that went nowhere, so I finally dropped my pin in the middle of Northern Manitoba? That was a little off. But my worst was when I was in some sea-side town and there were signs for Halifax 9 miles away so I put it in Nova Scotia. Turns out there's a Halifax in Australia. It was worth like 55 points.

I literally just ended up in an airport Starbucks. I can't move. All I know is that the signs are in English and I'm at Gate L. No clue of which airport or even which city I'm in.

Okay, I guessed Sydney. It was in Istanbul. So, what I'm saying is I got it wrong. My last one in the same round was simply a pier that I couldn't move around. There were no signs, just some palm trees, mountains, and a couple of caucasian cyclists. I guessed Santa Barbara. It was Greece.

My dad just called me specifically to tell me about this game and I was like wait, isn't that the thing people on Snarkfest are discussing that I was going to check out this weekend? It's amazing. I was pretty proud of myself for pegging the Sierra Nevadas, except I got the wrong end so I didn't get that many points for it. And apparently I can't tell Australia and the most of the middle of the U.S. apart.

Okay, now I want to read the rest of this novel.

Ugh, I cheat so bad on this. At first I was happy to just get the country right by Googling languages and stuff, but now I am full-out using every resource at my disposal to pinpoint the location as exactly as possible. Like, I was able to get within .3 km of some random Australian rest stop in the middle of nowhere, and it was awesome. I have to show this to my brother. He's a high school world geography teacher who is desperate for things to do with his class these last few weeks of school. Surely this will come in handy.

I keep ending up in Mexico. I have never been to Mexico but I feel I know it pretty well at this point.
I've mainly been doing okay-ish, but the worst results tend to be for places I have actually been. So that's interesting. I've been to Athens (Greece) at least 4 times but for some reason decided I was in South America.

Don't worry ariadne, I'm sure Theseus will help. Spoiler: he's kind of a dick, though.

Well, I have no idea where I am now but there's the inevitable pine forest and cows walking down the road and it's quite delightful really.

I just got dropped into the middle of the water! I can make it up to the beach, and eventually find a structure that looks like it has a sign, but every time I try to get close to it I accidentally hit the wrong arrow and end up back in the water. Now I'm just going straight through the water to see how long the Google cam did it for. It's so pretty!

Are those Google cars AMPHIBIOUS?!

I nailed the last three to within a few km because I found URLs with country codes. Heh.

It was pretty shallow water, FULL of pretty sea things. It looked like someone just walked through. I couldn't get back up to the beach, so I just guessed somewhere Caribbean. Should have known it was freaking Australia.

I can't stop playing this game, it's just so fun. I'm not using any extra resources yet although the country roads are tempting. Just like on long car trips, I hate it when I'm stuck behind the same car for miles and miles on long country roads with no hints. I want to pass them but I can't!

So far my hardest one was when I was stuck behind a truck and every time I'd see a sign in the distance by the time I got to the sign the truck was blocking it! ARRRGH. I just ended up giving that one a shot in the dark, but I wasn't too far off because I guessed Australia. My weirdest worst guess was Brazil (because the only hint I could find was a farmacia) Turns out I was in Romania! My easiest one so far I got dropped at a highway intersection and the numbers on the sign were outlined with Texas so I enlarged the guessing map until I found where they crossed. Only off .1 km on that one.
