I'd totally forgot about that book. Random rush of memories! I read it too, and little bits and pieces always stuck with me. (Though, I never quite remembered where they were from.) Was this something commonly read in school? Makes me want to go find all the books I read in middle school and see what else I forgot about.

I read that book about five times as a kid. I loved it so much. I also had no idea it was a terrible movie that starred a Peldon. I think I will pass and keep my memories.

Hey, today's picture of Zac Efron looks a lot like what this guy is wearing in the picture on the TLo (formerly Project Rungay) website. Is this a new trend for the menfolk?

Thanks to the Tom and Katie retrospective, I got to revisit one of my favorite fuggings ever: Fugging Impossible III. “I TRIMMED MY BANGS WITH A FLOWBIE!” will never not be funny.

Finished Messy last night and loved it--it's the rare sequel that improves upon the original. I am sad though that the Cameron Diaz/Zach Galifanakis movie is not real. Or any of the movies for that matter, but that one especially would be box office gold.

Also, I plan on using the term "moral support-adjacent" as soon as possible.

Just yesterday I realized that the Olympics in London means ZILLIONS OF KATE MIDDLETON PICTURES ON GFY. I am even more excited now.

I have to say today's post about Olympian abs is a thing of beauty. My jaw dropped several times, and I suddenly regretted not hanging out at the swimming events when I was in college.

Man, I was starting to get nervous about the lack of Nathan Adrian, but then he appeared. Whew. He is the dreaaaaaaaaaaamiest. I'd offer to be the one he marries, although my (former [non-Olympian but still dreamy] [excuse me while I gloat] diver) husband might argue with me about it. Sigh.

Jessica, I want to hear your Fergie THEORIES. I have theories of my own and they all result with the duke and duchess getting remarried on the sly.

This is not one of Jess's theories, I don't think, but one popular theory is that he is gay (rumors were Edward when I was little, but switched to Andrew later) and they are the very best of friends and always have been, but that it got tough to sustain a bearding and conceal (her) dalliances. MY personal theory is that her whole selling-information-about-him/selling-access-to-him scandal was something she was doing with his full knowledge and participation, and that she willingly took the bullet for it to protect his involvement, and that's why they're still super tight.

Yes, I agree with Heather's theory, and my own theory is that they're totally still Doing It.

On the bus on my way to work in the mornings, we pass The Magical Touch Day Spa and Salon.

It makes me chuckle because every time I see it, all I can think about is Jennifer Love Hewitt and her Kind Touching. Only this place would be better... I mean, a "kind touch" would be good, but a "MAGICAL touch" would be... well, magical.

I am going to be SO sad when the publicity blitz of the Olympics/Paralympics is over and we won't have near daily pictures of Harry/Wills/Kate to be entertained with. Today's post was golden.

Oh, but there's Kate and Will's upcoming trip to Malaysia/Singapore/Tuvalu to look forward to! Her changing clothes 47 times a day! And there will be a state dinner in either Malaysia or Singapore and it's rumored she'll (finally) be wearing a tiara. Eeep!

She's coming to Malaysia! Wonder if I should take a few days off to stalk them.
