Re: Celebrity Feuds
I think HWDTLGIGFYL would be the hot ticket on the network, maybe beating out Bird and Cat Noises Nightly, though given that my cat can hear either of those things from anywhere in the house, it may come in second.

But of course NBC couldn't even get a full season out of Dangling Strings with the Stars before they had to pull it for low ratings.

Re: Celebrity Feuds
The gritty drama, Claws, about feral cats living on the streets without human servants will be critically acclaimed with low viewership. It'll always be on the bubble but the fact it gives the network prestige will save it.

Re: Celebrity Feuds
People, people, let's think about this properly because you're forgetting the important issue of whether or not such cat oriented programming would exclude other demographics such as dogs and birds and reptiles and all the others, including Red Pandas! Would dogs watch a drama about feral cats? Probably, but not without a lot of backlash about how they're being taunted by seeing them on the TV screen and forgetting it's not actually a window and the cats are not in the garden so there's no need to have a freak attack every time they go outside.
Would the birds take offence to the noises that were being made? What if someone said that such a noise was two birds getting sexy with one another and it turns out that they're friends and it breaks up their relationships? Then you have the National Association for the Birds saying that this is all feline propaganda against them and we get hit with a lawsuit!
I'm not saying that cat programming is a bad thing, I'm just saying we need to be careful not to alienate others. My three dog focus group did not react happily to all these cat themed programming and it took the threat of being sent to bed and being bribed with treats to get them to calm down again!

Re: Celebrity Feuds
Would they be interested in the sitcom: Dogs and Cats, Living Together!, about the wacky hi-jinks that ensue when you add a puppy to a previously cat-only household?

The reality program Very Small Kittens Snuggling With Very Large Dogs might appeal to the doggie set. It will be critically panned but still have huge ratings.

A sure-fire hit: Catdicted, which follows individuals struggling with dependencies on catnip and obsessions with watching out windows. (My own dog is perfectly content barking incessantly at Cesar Millan's tv presentations.)

For some reason, the most surprising part of this story about Jaime Pressly and Estella Warren brawling in a bar over a purse full of drugs was that Jaime Pressly is only 35 years old. Too much tanning or smoking or ... whatever ... has really aged her. I really thought she was more like 42.

Wow, the people who do makeup on Hart of Dixie must be stellar. Jaime looks so much younger on that show.

Jaime King is on Hart of Dixie; Jaime Pressley was on My Name is Earl.

Re: Celebrity Feuds
Is Estella Warren the one who managed to slip out of her handcuffs following one of her arrests and almost get away from the cops? She's clearly on a solid life trajectory.

According to US Weekly (so take with a grain of salt) Pressly used the Find My Phone app to track her assistant's phone (what was stolen) to the party, and found it in Warren's purse.

Yep -- a DUI arrest, no less. She is a brighter drunk than I would be, that's for sure.

More flexible, you mean. You'd probably be bright enough to realise that escaping wouldn't really help the situation. She is a brighter drunk than I would be, that's for sure.

The advantage of Hollywood's unrealistic expectations of of female body image is that it leaves one so thin that hand cuffs won't fasten properly.

Re: Celebrity Feuds
If he quits, the producers might be able to get him for breach of contract and get back some of the money they've already given him. Not only that, but they're rid of Charlie Sheen. Sounds like a deal to me.

Not that I watched in the first place, but this reduces my interest levels from zero into minus numbers. Yes, keep the crazy one, fire the sane one to keep the crazy one happy. I'm sure he'll find something else to go mental about sooner or later.

To be fair, it is Charlie's show...but, yeah, he's still a crazy douche.

Does anyone watch his show? Way to reward douchebaggery, producers.

I've never seen the show, but FOX actually put it on primetime on Tuesday the other day. No idea why.

Re: Celebrity Feuds
To see if it would do better than The Mindy Project. They have to pay for 100 episodes regardless of how the ratings do so they might as well try everything they can to tweak the ratings which have declined dramatically. It's why I really don't understand the 10/90 thing that FX is doing because of course people were going to turn in for the train wreck factor. However, it must work for them if they are considering doing it again with Martin Lawrence and Kelsey Grammar.

Re: Celebrity Feuds
If it does better than the Mindy Project all my worst cynical feelings about America will be confirmed.
(I mean, Mindy Project isn't even high art, but the people behind it are talented and hardworking and not total assholes and it's gotten really good over the season and it seems to exist for reasons other than the trainwreck factor)
