Go WINGS! Heh, I had to.

What is with the weird NHL scheduling in October, it looked like Detroit was playing one game a week for three weeks.

My college team went up 6-0 less than halfway through the game and will be 5-0 on the season after tonight. After last year's disaster of a season, this year is looking up so far.

I have been in bars in Edmonton for that last two Oilers games. The first one they won so it was great. Last night they lost after being up, in pretty much the last second and I thought I was going to die.

I'm a Winnipeg girl so I am so happy we have the Jets back. The thrill still hasn't worn off.

I'm a Leafs fan living in Vancouver. It's a lonely life. (Mostly because everyone I work with are either Oilers fans or Flames fans.)

And yeah, I think if you add the Red Wings, the Oilers and Leafs games together, they might equal how many games Pittsburgh has played so far. I swear, they're going to finish their season in mid-February at this rate.

You live in Vancouver but no Canucks fans? That is so sad.

So the Rangers started their season in Sweden (after playing preseason games in what felt like EVERY country in Europe), came back the the US to play on Long Island, and now are out in Western Canada. Their first home game isn't until Thursday!

Luckily, ongoing arena reconstruction means that their October schedule is going to look like that for the next 3 years or so. Blerg.

To be fair, everyone I work with is Albertan. Including myself. It was mostly an accident. It's not, like, a requirement to work in our office. And actually, someone's coming back next week who is from BC. And who's also a Leafs fan (though the Canucks are his second favourite).

Being a Canuck fan is like being Gollum. Better to stick with the Leafs.

Well, it looks like Sidney Crosby is making his return tomorrow night. I'm no fan of his by any means, but I'm really glad to see he's healthy now and recovered from his concussion. I can't believe he's been out for almost a year!

Luckily for him, his first game back is against the Islanders!

My poor Stars, they were doing so well and then the injury bug hit them again. I'm hoping they can turn it around.

Realignment!

I can't say I like it. I think it's a confusing system. And the fact that Tampa and Florida are in a Conference with Boston/Montreal/Toronto/Ottawa/Buffalo is just bizarre.

Anyone else reading the series on Derek Boogaard in the Times? Incredibly heartbreaking and anger-making stuff.

Is everyone watching 24/7 Flyers/Rangers: Road to the Winter Classic? Maybe it's just because NY is involved, or because Brian Boyle is screamin' hot, and Sean "Douche" Avery is in play, but I'm finding this year more entertaining than the Pens/Caps one from last year.

I am loving Ilya Bryzgalov's ruminations on the universe and Russian liquor, and poor Ansimov's big gun celebration getting turned into a brawl. Hee.

I'm obviously watching and I'm obviously totally biased, but 24/7 is amazing this year.

All the moments you mentioned were GOLD. I loved Anisimov apologizing to the team. (Side note of bitterness: They didn't touch on it on the show, but after that game Stamkos said something to the effect that Anisimov was the type of player who did things like that all the time, which is just blatantly untrue!) I also really loved Ryan Callahan's grandmother. And Brandon Prust putting popcorn in Lundqvist's hair! And the cursing!

I can't wait for the next episode. There are some cool moments coming up and I really hope they focus on some of the other characters on the Rangers like Marty Biron or Dan Girardi.

I can't believe how many NHL Players are playing here in Switzerland during the lockout. Not only did Joe Thornton and Rick Nash return, after they already played here during the last lockout, but Henrik Zetterberg, Patrice Bergeron, Tyler Seguin, Logan Couture, Brooks Laich and John Tavares are all playing here in the National League A. And just today Patrick Kane signed with EHC Biel.

Now I just want my favorite Swiss Club, the Zurich Lions, to sign a good NHL Player or two as well. Only two out of twelve clubs have not yet signed Lockout Players. For me, it's two worlds colliding: one hockey league that I can watch on TV and the other one I can only follow online.

George Gwozdecky is "stepping down" at Denver. I'm really not happy about this.

I'm assuming Lucia (Minnesota) and/or Hakstol (North Dakota) will be next. 'Twas an ugly tournament for the WCHA.

So Chicago is absolutely nuts right now, to put it mildly.

I can only imagine.  I could not believe the last minute of that game.  If I were a die-hard fan of either team, I'd be dead from a heart attack right now.
