The Thunder Song was HILARIOUS. I'm going to sing it next time there's a thunderstorm, because I also am still scared of thunder. And I do love when Marky does the full Boston. Gawd's fahts!

If the actual movie is as good as the trailer for Dreamworks' latest, "Rise of the Guardians", I may finally convert to being a full-fledged Dreamworks animation fangirl. It looks absolutely beautiful, and looks like a great story, too. I never wanted this, Pixar! I was yours for over 15 years! But you just stopped caring somewhere along the way, seduced by the easy money of NASCAR and Larry the Cable Guy and what I fear may be just a standard princess movie to sell merchandise (please let me be wrong!). The one thing wrong with this movie is that is has a very generic title. If someone hadn`t recommended the trailer to me, I probably wouldn`t have bothered watching.

And Alec Baldwin's... I wanna say, Russian?... accent.

Looks good, but not gonna lie - I would totally believe this was someone spoofing on The Avengers. The bad guy even sounds like Loki - "I have an army."

Fast Girls, a new British female sports movie! Can't wait, yay! Great cast. And nice timing, ha.

That looks great, but it's a textbook example of putting every beat of the plot into the trailer. Sigh.

Mickey from Doctor Who, Lestrade from Sherlock, Annie from Being Human... it's practically an all-star cast (for certain definitions of "star").

I know! Annie from Being Human is making out with King Arthur from Merlin. It's so awesome. I expect (hope for) all kinds of AU fanfic to spring up from this movie.

That's exactly what I thought, too. I had to check IMDB just to be sure Tom Hiddleston wasn't involved, heh.

Santa's "Naughty" and "Nice" tattoos were hilarious.

Magic Mike. I still can't believe this movie exists. And it looks completely different from how I imagined it.

Matthew McConaughey may have found the role he was born to play!

Channing Tatum reminds me WAAAAY too much of a former roommate/friend of mine, and so I have a hard time taking him seriously in anything. I also just don't think he's that good an actor. And physically he's not my type. *ducks*

But anyway, the weirdest thing about the look of that trailer is that I honestly thought it was taking place in the early 60s or something when it first started, from the look and color palette.

...I'll show myself out.

I went to see 'The Cabin in the Woods' today and before it, they showed the trailer for 'Chernobyl Diaries'. I have no idea why, because it seems like a pretty run of the mill horror movie, but when the guy at the beginning of the trailer mentioned Cernobyl and said the phrase "extreme tourism" I started cracking up and couldn't stop. For some reason, that premise just tickled me. The other people in the theater must have thought I was insane.

I actually think Magic Mike looks terrible. I was expecting something more like Boogie Nights. This is like...Coyote Ugly. Are they seriously trying to sell this as a rom com?

Also, that girl's voice bugs.

I thought Magic Mike looked good for the first fifty seconds, but as soon as the tone shifted and we got into the Rihanna song, it lost me. And Channing Tatum does nothing for me.

I also just don't think he's that good an actor.

You probably think that because he's not a good actor. He's kind of charming and likable though in spite of that, though for me he's more charming OFF screen than on it.

I was into the Magic Mike trailer until OLIVIA MUNN. Ugh I just hate her so much, but everything else worked for me including Tatum Channing Tatum, Stripper Wooderson, and the Rihanna song, because I LOVE that Rihanna song. I'm excited to see Soderbergh take a pass at Florida and it's Hot Tub full of Hinky. It looks like Erin Brokovich - Social Relevance + Striptease.

Hee. I was going with Flashdance, due to him being a dancer by night, furniture builder with a dream by day. But Striptease probably works better.

I think I would feel less like the rug had been pulled out from under me if McG had directed this.

And in other strange trailers...Cosmopolis, which is looking very old school Cronenberg.

He's the first person who'll tell you he's not a good actor, too, which makes up a lot of his charm.

Right there with you on Olivia Munn, the walking charisma vacuum.

I just saw the Magic Mike trailer today and while I adore Channing Tatum beyond reason, both of the female leads seemed annoying as hell. Also that "furniture" was fugly. And yes, I know Channing Tatum is a terrible actor, but he's so damn aware of that and still completely charming.
