I saw the trailer for Warm Bodies today before Breaking Dawn, Part Two. Although I'm not much one for zombie movies, this one looks pretty funny, even if the trailer does seem to give away the entire plot. I HATE that this now seems to be the norm for most film trailers these days.

That little guy from About a Boy sure has grown into a cutie, hasn't he?

I can't believe Cassie Clare has a real movie out. Despite the rampant plagiarism.

Seriously. What I hate even more is that I would be really interested to see that film if I didn't know the background (I've never read her books).

Happilly, I am unconflicted about Warm Bodies and look forward to seeing it!

Right there with you, and I need to look up more of Crichlow's work, because I adore her!

Might be good. Might be cliched crap. However, I love both McAvoy and Strong, so I'll likely watch it.

I loved Mark Strong so much in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy that I wish he'd get more opportunities like that instead of being typecast as the villain. I'll still see this movie, though.

I saw the trailer for Oblivion before Les Mis. My friend was like "How many times has that scenario been filmed?" and I was "Goddammit why do they keep casting Tom Cruise in movies I would clearly like if virtually any other actor was in his place!" Seriously. Tom Cruise, knock it off.

I said the same damn thing to my husband when we saw that trailer before The Hobbit.

My mom has been saying that exact thing about Tom Cruise since his Rain Man days. She sniffed out the crazy as soon as she saw him all those years ago.

Oblivion, War of the Worlds, Minority Report - All movies I probably would have liked if he weren't in them. I mean, the only movie I have ever liked him in was Tropic Thunder, but I like rollicking sci-fi and I HATE HIM.

Sam Rammi made the Oz movie?! Will I be able to watch it without Evil Dead 4: Ash on the Yellow Brick Road playing in my head?

I thought I didn't care AT ALL about this movie, but the trailers have changed my mind. I think my admiration for Luhrman's abilities at spectacle, old-Hollywood style swoony romance, and picking fantastic music are going to outweigh my hatred for his frenetic editing and his reliance on TERRIBLE slapstick comedy. I'm not convinced anyone could play Daisy well, but Di Caprio seems like a perfect Gatsby.

I am happy there is a Red 2 but sad it doesn't involve Karl Urban.

Trailer for the Coen brothers new one, where they take on folk singers in the 60's.

Inside Llewyn Davis

I think it looks fantastic. Carey Mulligan is almost unrecognizable.

That was excellent! I'm in.

(The Coen Brothers seem to be getting some really amazing trailers lately. I know it helps that they make good films, too, but l feel like their trailers are way above average, pretty creative, and strike the right balance of not giving too much away but not being totally mysterious teasers, either.)

That does look so awesome, BUT...the presence of a cat sends up red flags for me. They're not going to kill the cat, are they? Because I have to know that ahead of time or no matter how good it looks, I'm not going.

Maybe the cat disappears in the subway car? (He's chasing after it at one moment.) And then you can tell yourself some other subway rider eventually took pity on the cat and took him home. Or the cat feasts on subway rats and the transit workers make him their mascot. Or he rides and rides and eventually gets to Times Square where he makes friends with a cricket.

If the cat dies I'll probably still see it but I'm going to complain and definitely like the movie less. Besides, at least it's not a dog. Dogs are way more likely to die in movies than cats. (I still say one of the biggest, most Hollywood changes from the book in Breakfast at Tiffany's is what happens with the cat.)

Olympus Rising. I'm honestly surprised "Die Hard In The White House" took this long.

Well, I think after Harrison Ford made Get Off My Plane or Die Hard, everyone just assumed Presidential Die Hard's had been perfected and weren't worth pursuing further.

Aren't there actually two movies about the White House being attacked coming out this year? The other one has Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx. It's like Volcano vs. Dante's Peak or Armageddon vs. Deep Impact all over again.

Oh, shit, yes. White House Down. Which isn't THE SAME THING AT ALL as Olympus Has Fallen. Nope.

PLUS...

Channing Tatum Channing is in GI Joe: Retaliation, which ALSO features a takeover of the White House!

Sucks to be a fictional president this year.

It's like Volcano vs. Dante's Peak or Armageddon vs. Deep Impact all over again.

Prefontaine vs. Without Limits!!!
