Stars I Hate

Wow, I hate Chris Brown. I wish he would just disappear into obscurity. And those who choose to defend his actions are insufferable.

I canNOT stand Nancy Grace. I don't watch any of her own shows, but I do watch Good Morning America on most mornings, and whenever a legal case is discussed she is usually featured alongside Dan Abrams, their legal analyst. She may have good, valid points, but she craps all over them with constant interruptions of others and a patronizing attitude. Her recent comments about Whitney Houston where she implied that Whitney might have been murdered were completely ignorant and when Dan called her out on this on GMA, she completely evaded the question and instead chose to condescendingly talk about the process of an autopsy and put down Dan at the same time. She's such a complete asshole.

Nancy Grace's condescending attitude towards all human beings often amuses me, but hell, I'd probably get in a slapfight with her if I actually met her. I don't like her, but I do find her entertaining sometimes because she is so staunch in her convictions no matter how ridiculous they are.

Another thing I hate about Nancy Grace is her bs backstory.

What is her backstory? I don't know a thing about her besides that she's a paid ranting machine.

Lewis Black had a great rant about Nancy Grace's GMA interview the other night on The Daily Show. I don't often care for him, but he was DEAD-ON calling her out for being a total blowhard.

She is a loathsome person. I still remember her crazy during the Terri Schiavo fiasco.

And Michael J. Fox Parkinsons!

Nice of her to also bring a class element into it!

I truly can't understand how someone in the tv business could hire her after that Michael J. Fox crap. I mean, he's beloved in tv land. And since she whines about this all the time, no I don't think she shouldn't be hired because she's conservative. I don't think she should be hired because she's a PR nightmare.

The thing that kills me is that she has been steadily employed for nearly 20 years. There are a lot more talented people who would kill to "not being hired" as much as she is.

Shes weirdly teflon-y and I have no idea why. She seems like a nightmare, shes not THAT good. I say this as someone that actually LIKED Everybody Loves Raymond, but she doesn't do anything Jane Kaczmarek and thirty other actresses can't do better. I've heard shes difficult on set and that Ray Romano grew to hate her. And like you said she went against probably one of the five most universally beloved people in entertainment in a really gross way.

She infuriates me because she spends her time trying to take away women's reproductive rights under the banner of feminism. Its so repugnant.

She is gross, but I can see why nothing sticks, at least when it comes to the public. I think she's really adorable and funny, waaaay funnier than Jane Kaczmarek or the other actresses in her age group. Of course, she's a sucky human being, so there's that. But if she were a nice person (or nicer, I guess, since she has so far to go to get to nice that I don't think she'd ever make it), I'd be huge fan.

None of that explains why Hollywood keeps hiring her, though.

Because the concept of "Liberal Hollywood", at least when it comes to hiring, is largely a myth. Media companies hire people who can do the job and potentially attract viewers. Nothing more, nothing less.

Which I guess is why to me the main issue is that she seems awful to work with. I mean Adam Baldwin has out there political views but the difference is I've heard hes very easy to work with. Not so with Heaton.

Huh, I like The Middle but now will not be able to watch it without giving her the stinkeye. At least I have never particularly liked her character.

Realized this reading the Stars I Like thread. I can't stand Darren Criss. I have absolutely no good reason for this. I don't watch Glee. I know almost nothing about him. But every time I see him at an event he seems so hammy and desperate for attention. He just completely bothers me.

I've never even seen the guy in action -- stopped watching Glee ages ago -- but there's something about his face that rubs me the wrong way. Which is completely ridiculous, but there you go.

This. Exactly this. Except that I do watch Glee, and if anything makes me stop watching, it will be him. Which is saying something when you consider how terrible the writing on the show is.

Why? Someone explain to me why anyone would want to talk to Michael Lohan.

In some sort of alternate universe where I had the money, time, and inclination to spend on that kind of shit, I would do it just to Give Him A Piece of My Mind. Seriously. His ex-wife too.

I can't stand Lena Dunham. I rented Tiny Furniture and wish I could get both the money and time back. Just hearing her whiny voice in the promos for Girls made me want to punch her in the face and I am an extremely non-violent person. I wish i could present a more nuanced critique of her work but I really just have a visceral dislike.

Steve Harvey. Just radiates an "asshole" vibe to me.
