Once I realized how much they looked alike, I can't help thinking Minka is the poor man's Leighton Meester.

Wow I would characterize that in exact opposite terms, Leighton is pretty enough, but Minka is *gorgeous*, although I'd say Leighton is a better actress.

I'd still call her the poor man's Leighton Meester because even though I think shes lovely, I think she comes off as far less interesting and not nearly as good of an actress. At the same time, despite my dislike of Lyla Garrity, she seems like a nice girl, fairly low key, and I once read an Esquire article about her childhood that make me kind of admire her strength. So they seem like a nice couple.

Rihanna and Chris Brown spotted out together and Brown is seen leaving her hotel. Then they were together at a Jay-Z concert. *sigh*

Doesn't Jay Z HATE him? And hasn't it been said he is NOT FOR this reunion? That is a total stick it to him gesture.

I just feel so bad for her. She grew up in abusive environment, she probably thinks this the norm.

Yeah, she probably does. She's still so young too.

I think the sad thing is she probably doesn't even think he has anything to be sorry for. That he apologzied and the media just won't leave him alone.

I'm wondering if it's a situation where Jay's figured out that if she's determined to make foolish decisions like this, there's only so much he can do. At a certain point you have to either stand back and hope for the best, or risk them cutting you out of their life.

Oh I imagine he has. I just meant that even in that regard, if hes decided to stay out of it I can't see him being cool with her bringing him to HIS show.

And Beyonce was there too. I'm going to feel free to read into how far away she's sitting.

I won't mince my words - she's going to end up dying prematurely. I have no doubt whatsoever about that. Either she gets free from him soon, or she's going the way of either Whitney Houston or Nicole Brown Simpson.

And now, Chris Brown took the super classy step of giving a statement to TMZ about how he dumped his girlfriend over his "friendship" with Rihanna.

God, I just hate him so much.

I think Jay gave up on her awhile ago. He's actively promoting Rita Ora now (which...sorry dude, I don't think fetch is going to happen there) and barely seems to be working with Rihanna.

Nothing about Ri's life seems to be going in the right direction.

Kiran, I had no idea she had grown up surrounded by abuse. Now I can understand a little more why she seems unable to hate Chris Brown even after the hell he put her through. It might seem like a somewhat normal circumstance to her even if it's horrifying and sickening to the rest of us. She seriously needs to get away from that idiot once and for all.

I don't know if Whitney and Anna Nicole are the right examples. I think drugs and alcohol killed them. Whitney had left Bobby Brown by the time she died.

I do think shes in danger but I can't help hoping she is more like Tina Tuner.

I hope she ends up more like Tina Turner. It's important to remember that abusive people typically count on the victim's support system getting frustrated and cutting her off until she agrees to leave. It creates a kind of us-against-the-world dynamic that Rihanna and Chris Brown definitely seem to have. If it gets to a point where she believes Chris is the only person who won't judge her for still loving him, the only person who won't ever leave her...that's a bad, bad place to be.

Amber Tamblyn married David Cross this weekend. And while I hope they are very happy, all I can think is, "Him?!"

I wish them the best but I've thought that since she took him to the white house as her date and he bragged about snorting cocaine there. As much as I love Tobias Funke, I think he is kind of lame.

Agreed. Love his character on Arrested Development, but he comes across as an utter douchebag in real life.

His feud with Larry The Cable Guy resulted in one of the best "f*ck you" letters I've ever read, and he did Mr. Show and Arrested Development. Lifetime pass from me.

He's a douche, but a douche that amuses rather than irritates me.

I think they're kind of cute together. I wish them the best.
