I remember all the blind items that were about them right after they were married. This relationship was doomed from the start, unfortunately.

I was already on her side, because Johnny walked right into his drunken mid life crisis pursuit of her even when seemed not at all interested in him beyond what he could do for her career and bank account, and only then when she broke up with her girlfriend, but if he's been hitting her, than fuck right off Drunk Johnny Depp.

I thought they were both assholes of the gold-digging/midlife crisis variety, respectively, but domestic violence makes him the undisputed winner of that asshole contest.

I completely take back what I said about her timing.

I also vaguely remember a BI from maybe 4 or 5 years ago (or at least a couple years before Depp and Paradis broke up) describing a long time alcoholic star in a long time relationship that involved periodic outbursts of domestic violence, but where the woman just stuck by him and stuck by him. The BI was noting that the star was well off the wagon again and speculated that the relationship might finally end. At the time, the primary guesses on this board seemed to be Harrison Ford/Calista Flockhart or Kevin Bacon/Kyra Sedgewick (which I admit I found a little strange, but it could be I've missed persistent rumors of Bacon's drinking?). Now I'm thinking it was Depp and Paradis.

Wait there are rumours about Harrison Ford and Kevin Bacon being violent and abusive?

I like both of them and their significant others, so really let's face it often it is the good guys as well as the 'bad guys'.

Not that I'd ever heard before, which is why the predominance of guesses of them a few years ago kind of confused me.

I've never heard anything about Harrison Ford being abusive, but there was a period where he seemed to be showing up drunk to everything (and didn't some security guard think he was a homeless guy sleeping in Calista Flockhart's car?) so maybe that was what spurred the speculation?
