Blake Lively reminds me of Kelly Lynch, so I am sort of hoping that Ryan is her Mitch Glazer and they'll be That One Couple That Stays Married And Inadvertently Becomes A Hollywood Institution.

That said, boy, Ryan Reynolds is sort of all over the map in terms of his taste, at least physically. But both Alanis & ScarJo seem like they're at least capable of parsing current events. I wonder if we'll find out Blake Lively's a secret Economist reader & has very strong opinions on the new Lexington columnist?

Anne Hathaway got married. The second comment echoed my first thought, she got married with that hair? I'm not a fan of that cut on her.

Her husband looks a lot like an older Ryan Gosling.

I'm sure the quality of the pics is what's making it look like they got married on a dirt road, cause yuck, that looks like an ugly setting.

Have they really been together for 4 years? Time flies. I feel like she was with that scam artist just a couple years ago.

Given the giant flower headband thing she's wearing, I don't think she's thrilled with her wedding pictures having that hair, either.

How long ago did Anne cut off her hair for the Les Miz role? It seems like it happened far enough back that her hair could be somewhat longer by now if she wanted it to be. So, I figured she liked the pixie cut. Then I saw that thing covering up her head in the photos. Maybe she just likes 1920s-style wedding headgear?

We were stuck in traffic for 40 minutes last week because of that guy giving a concert in town. I'd never heard of him before but now I know he is clearly a tool!

When I first heard about this story, I saw a headline like "Jason Aldean photographed kissing American Idol--" and freaked out that it was Kelly or Carrie or *gulp* Lauren Alaina (she toured with him and did the Kelly part on "Don't You Wanna Stay"...it's only a song, but I'm just saying, you don't see Brad Paisley singing lyrics like that with an underage girl). But it's just someone who didn't get past Hollywood Week (not to condone the cheating but I'm glad it wasn't somebody I was a fan of because then I'd be disappointed in them). Is Idol like adult films or modeling now, where everyone who was ever involved with it, however fleetingly, gets upgraded a la "porn star" or "supermodel"?

Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman are getting a divorce after 30 years. Aw man.

That makes me really really sad.

Noo that sucks, I was just wondering about them because Rhea was pretty salty in the recent oral history of Cheers GQ piece (which is really great by the way). Jay Thomas accuses her of having him fired and she can't bring herself to relive the "Shelley Long was insufferable bitch" drama. Best part of that story is the idea of all the Cheers guys sicking out, then getting smoked out and 'shroomed up on a boat in the middle of small huricane and Kirstie Alley being Woody's fluffer.

I was just coming to post this. I had the same initial "Aww, that sucks" reaction followed by some laughter due to the TMZ headline and story that felt it necessary to include their heights. Oh, TMZ, stay classy.

Now that is depressing news. Sad to say I know very few couples who make it long-term, even fewer who are genuinely happy, but it still shocks and upsets me when two people separate who have been together as long as Danny and Rhea have.

Noooo! That seems like a real shame.

Damn, that makes me sad. They've been together almost as long as I've been alive.

I feel like I've heard rumors about Danny Devito cheating quite a bit, which makes it less sad.

I admit I am totally curious about this split. From what I read, they have been together for a total of 42 years and they're both in their mid-60s. I just wonder what drove them to give up at this point.

I guess one of them woke up one day and realized the other was not the person they wanted to face the Mayan apocalypse with.

At this point, I would not be surprised to hear of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson or Spielberg and Kate Capshaw splitting up. For some reason, tt seems like 2012 has been a tough year for couples.

That is an excellent metric by which to gauge one's relationship. I mean, Mr. Moneypenny wouldn't actually be useful in the event of an apocalypse, but he's definitely the person I'd want to be with.

Buuuut...NO! There was always something so charming and endearing about them as a couple. It must be tough splitting up after spending about two-thirds of your lives together.

Man if there were two celebrities I felt were made for eachother it was those two.

Still 30 years is nothing to sneeze at.

Good Lord, that actually skews my sense of the world a bit. It just seems so random and unlikely.

See, I suspect that if more people were independently financially stable as they got older there'd be more senior-age divorce. People get to the age where they realize they've got limited time left and things that they've wanted to do and their partner has their own interests which maybe don't overlap. If you each have your own money it's easier to say, "It's been fun, but now it's time for me to climb Machu Picchu and roller skate through the Guggenheim. You have fun skiing K2 and raising prize-winning zinnias". Money changes everything.
