Not sure how I feel about Nicole Richie using a Disney villian as her inspiration for this new look.

Chelsea Clinton is looking a lot like her mom, and not in a great way. Including the fashion.

Yeah my feeling is I'd rather have some one look like a hot mess and fit the theme at least or attempt to, than someone like Kate Upton who looks lovely and is in a perfectly nice dress but is completely boring and it has absolutely no connection to the theme.

I follow Beyonce on Instagram, and what the hell was she wearing? She looks pretty, but the dress looks confused as to what it wants to be.

Yup. And on that point, I don't understand you Anna Wintour. You're the hostess! My favorites were SJP, Miley, Nicole Ritchie, and Hailee Steinfeld. Miley was the big surprise for me. I often like the style of the other 3, but I was surprised by liking Miley's look. I wish I could wear a Philip Treacy hat to an event some day.

I thought the worst non-boring looks of the night were the Olsen twins, but then I don't think I ever like what they wear (as opposed to what they design for Elizabeth and James and the Row, which I often like).

ETA - OK, I just saw photos of Madonna and they made me happy. I think she looked the best she's looked in YEARS, and her outfit was fun. I also saw Jessica Pare's photos - ouch.

Jessica Pare needs to let go of the center part dream. We can't all be Marcia Brady.

My theory is that Kanye strongarmed a "real" designer into dressing Kim Kardashian and as revenge they handed her this and proceeded to laugh heartily as soon as she walked out the door.

Hailee looks so elegant and yet also adorably youthful in her dress. It fits her perfectly, and the detailing with the pins is great!

Audrey Hepburn would not wear that, Givenchy!

My Lord, I can't decide if Kim was eaten by a couch or if she ate it. Whoever advised her to wear that HATES her.

This is all a set-up for her to shill a bunch of post-pregnancy weight loss schemes, isn't it? I realize that some women do really go through that much gain, but this is a Kardashian we're talking about. If they could monetize their effluvia they'd do it.

I'm distracted by the fact that they attended together and yet those pix look like they've been Photoshopped. It doesn't look like they're actually standing next to each other even though they obviously were. And my, poor Kim looks as if she's going to a Halloween party dressed as wallpaper.

It would be much smarter for a designer to dress Kim and make her look fierce, this is just another Kim wears an ugly ass outfit story.

Well, Kanye is friends with the designer for Givenchy (Riccardo Tisci), so he probably pressured Tisci to give her a dress. But Kim and her stylist severely altered the original gown, so who knows how the dress was originally supposed to look. I think the only chance she had of looking good is if she worked with a stylist and designer who really wanted to help her and dress her for her current body/shape, but I don't think fashion people are inclined to work with her. Kanye's interference only seems to make her outfits worse imo.

That's why I can't think that whatever alterations Kim might have had done to it could have made a big difference, because it would still be that pattern on a gown for a woman in her third trimester. Without the attached gloves and matching shoes, possibly it would have been just ugly and not a total monstrosity, but that's not very good.

There is no way to make that dress not hideous. It looks like a floral shop exploded.

Carol Burnett with the rod strapped to her back looked less like she was wearing curtains than anyone wearing that dress would.

Looking at The dress again brings to mind Hilary Banks of Fresh Prince asking "Who shot the couch?"

I am convinced that Melissa McCarthy regularly beats her stylists, because why else would they routinely dress her so badly? Especially that blue muumuu/jumpsuit at a premiere with Sandra Bullock. Why would they do that to her? She is a gorgeous woman, but they do their best to uggo her all up.

I don't know. She's dressed pretty badly in that photo from 2003, when I doubt she had a stylist. I'm thinking she does it to herself.

Melissa should really start working with Tadashi Shoji but maybe he has an exclusive larger actress thing going with Octavia Spencer.

I don't know what other category to put this in, but whenever I see Olivia Munn on the red carpet, I want to scrub her face with a hot washcloth. Somehow her makeup always seems to make her face look dirty. WHY!? She is so pretty.
