Earworms
Why can't I stop listening to A Town Called Malice, and other questions regarding songs that take up residence in your brain and refuse to leave.

Re: Earworms
You can't stop listening to "A Town Called Malice" because it is an awesome song! Simple enough.
Ever since I recently put two and two together and realized that that trippy-sounding electronic song that I've heard on multiple TV shows and commercials is LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem," it has been stuck in my head. PLEASE SEND HELP.

Can't help you. I use that and their song "Sexy and I know it" to counteract Moves Like Jagger, which I LOATHE.

Because Paul Weller is our god and we accept that.Eris Rising wrote:Why can't I stop listening to A Town Called Malice, and other questions regarding songs that take up residence in your brain and refuse to leave.
ETA: Why am I allowing Jason Falkner to drain my bank account? I got "The Plan" stuck in my head the other day, and now I am buying everything the dude ever touched (except for Jellyfish, because I already owned that, of course). Dude is freakishly prolific. And scarily awesome. And cute as hell.

Re: Earworms
Katy Perry's "The one that got away" (or whatever it's called) has been playing in a constant loop in my head. Or at least the "the one uhuhuhuhuh onnnnnnnnnne" part has been, anyway. I can't shake it and it doesn't help that it's playing pretty much every time I get in the car.

Speaking of Katy Perry, I tried to resist "T.G.I.F.", but couldn't. I listened to it once, and then couldn't stop and it still randomly gets stuck in my head.

Y'all need to listen to Katy Perry's Hummingbird Heartbeat because that shit is the jam! The One That Got Away also gets stuck in my head quite often.

Drake's Headlines is just one of my absolute faves right now. I freak out when I hear it in the car, and it's fun to actually know most of the lyrics to a rap song!

I've had "moves like Jaggar" stuck in my head for days. Such a freaking catchy toon. And now that I've heard "Red Solo Cup" I can't get that freaking song out of my head either.

Lady Gaga's Teeth is threatening to become my next earworm. I just barely listened to it for the first time today, and it's awesomely stupid and catchy and has such a sexy beat!

Sorry for the double post, but I haven't been able to get this out of my head for days. Christmas Canon, performed by The Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

I can help you with that:
"We found love in a hopeless place."
"We found love in a hopeless place."
"We found love in a hopeless place."
"We found love in a hopeless place."
"We found love in a hopeless place."
"We found love in a hopeless place."
I'm sorry, Rihanna, where was it that you found love?
"...HOPELESS PLACE..."

Sorry, it was "On this night, on this night, on this merry Christmas night". Not only did I have it stuck in my head, I had it stuck in my head with the wrong lyrics!

Girls I coach were singing that at softball and it's been in my head ever since.
