Re: Celebrity Couples
Agent Coulson for the win!
I continue to enjoy Tom in movies, but if this whole bit of nonsense is true, I don't think even I could refuse to use "TomPon". It's too perfect.

Re: Celebrity Couples
Not sure where to put this, but years later, Dominic Monaghan calls out Evangeline Lily for cheating.
While I appreciated his candor in calling out Matthew Fox's abusiveness, between this and those texts he sent to a fan, I'm starting to think he's actually quite the creeper himself.

Re: Celebrity Couples
Yikes. Calling out a possible wife-abuser seemed brave at the time. But hating on a past girlfriend years later? Not classy. Makes me question the Matthew Fox thing a bit too...

Re: Celebrity Couples
Well, candor's a double-edged sword, (Just ask Katherine Heigl) so I don't one necessarily cancels out the other. I actually wondered how he was going to take an ex being in the franchise he's mos known for. I guess the answer is not well.

Re: Celebrity Couples
Can someone get her away from him, stat? I really don't understand some people's choices. With him, it's confusing. I don't find him the least bit attractive, even if he is a talented actor. So, how is he getting all these women to fall in love with him? Not just the ones he was in a relationship with, but the ones he was cheating with those women on.

My God, he does have a type, doesn't he? She can do so, so much better. I will cling to the belief that they are just good friends, or even FWBs.

She has a pretty dark past (her father was an abusive drunk and her mother shot him to death in self-defense), but I never thought it played out in her relationships. Who knows, though.
And we all have our 'ew' radar tuned to Sean Penn, but apparently he's really charming in person, maybe charming enough to get people to look past his leathery troll exterior and shitty anger management.
Re: Celebrity Couples
I also think it might be that people tend to disbelieve the worst about people. The shrugging aside and saying things like "Well, I haven't seen that side of so and so".

I met him about ten months ago at a work event and he really was quite charming and fairly self-effacing. He was wicked grubby looking and stunk of cigarette smoke, but was personable.

Re: Celebrity Couples
Yeah, my brother-in-law met him in Haiti and said he was nice to the star-struck volunteers when he didn't need to be, so it's just proof that no one is a cartoon villain no matter how bad then can be.
Re: Celebrity Couples
I think I crushed one of my colleagues at work when I told her that in most of his roles I can't help but think "Abusive Asshole!" when he comes on screen, so I find it hard to enjoy movies that have him in the lead. She hadn't heard. Then I felt bad.

Re: Celebrity Couples
I don't know, that gif of Taylor not approving when Selena went up to him backstage at an awards show made me think that she's like that friend you love to death, but she's inexplicably hung up on a loser.
Even People.com is running stories about Sean and Charlize's "cozy weekend" so it's probably happening. Ugh. Why couldn't this be like the time she was linked to the Modern Family guy for five minutes?

I'm glad Jake has finally seen the light and decided he belongs with meeee. Yeah, I cribbed that from his "ex," Taylor. And what!
