Ha! Thank you for pointing that out. I think my favorite thing about this episode were all the random references to Labyrinth.

I love this show.
I just...I love this show. I don't know why everything in that episode fired for me so perfectly, but it did.

Re: Community
So... the random girl at the end that Abed hooks up with, is she the show's version of the (unnamed and never seen before) girl that Duckie ends up with at the end of Pretty in Pink? Also, nice choreographed prom dance scene.
Re: Community
She was in last season's episode Alternate Herstory of Dance. One of the better episodes during " the year of the gas leak".

Wow, I feel stupid. I think my ambition to pretend season 4 never happened worked better than I thought.

Re: Community
I should have loved last night's episode with all of the reference on bad 70's sci-fi, but it just fell flat for me with the exception of Jeff's stand up routine. I'm disappointed that grey striped shirt from Logan's Run likely won't be making a comeback because of this.
Those Tim & Eric idiots didn't help, I have what would be an irrational hate of those guys, but they suck so bad and somehow convinced more talented people they are brilliant. Think of a Chihuahua bearing their fangs and you'll have my mindset on this.

AAAAHAHAHA VINCE GILLIGAN. I'm proud to say I called it well before the stinger.
I guess that guy needs work now.

Re: Community
Ugh, another D&D episode. I hated the first one. HAAAAAAATED. Like, it is my least favorite episode ever, and I'm including all of last season. I've been emotionally blackmailed into playing D&D (or similar games) on several occasions and it was miserable. And the only thing worse than playing D&D is watching other people play D&D. The way this one was filmed was much more dynamic than the last episode, but it was still boring as fuck.

I disagree, I liked them both! But am also a huge nerd, so. I liked the first one better, but this one was cute.

Re: Community
That was an amusing collection of "We're so getting canceled" meta, wasn't it? Last week's episode was, uh, kind of weirdly drawn-out, but this one worked a bit better, though I kind of wished it had been a bit more grounded in case it really is the finale.
I would still like to see the show get six seasons and a movie, even if this season was uneven. But it's true, Celebrity Beat-Off would probably get better ratings.

Re: Community
I hope Donald Glover comes back next season because the show has suffered some from losing two main characters in one season. Some great emotional stuff came out of it, but the actual comedy has suffered, IMHO.

Re: Community
The tag was incredible, but I think it was more a joke about how much more certain their renewal has gotten every year because everything else NBC comes up with sucks just that much harder.
The entire bit with Open the Door by The Secret Doors (timed to exactly as long as it takes to open the door) made me laugh so hard, including closing the door faster than it opens for dramatic effect. Hee. And I lovd Jeff/Britta calling off their marriage, I mean wedding, almost as much as I love having my Jeff/Annie chain yanked. No seriously Dan, troll away baby.

Re: Community
I'm bummed, but perhaps not as bummed as I once would have been, more down to the lack of Donald/Chevy than anything.
Re: Community
I'm really surprised. I thought this season was amazing.

Re: Community
I really thought they would come back for a shortened season. They seemed so confident. That was a crappy way to end the series in the last episode. Much preferred the last episode of season three.

I am not looking forward to at least of few weeks of speculation about someone else picking it up which has already begun.

If it goes somewhere else I will continue to watch but if it's gone for good, that's okay too. I do feel its run it's course. It just has not been the same without Troy and to a lesser extent Pierce. I'm much more bummed that Trophy Wife and Suburgatory were cancelled too.

Re: Community
ITA. I'd have liked to see more but at the same time the show isn't what it used to be.
This season's culling of the comedies was brutal. Except for FOX's, every other sitcom I watched this season got cancelled.
Along with Enlisted. Plus Cougar Town hasn't been officially renewed yet and I don't know if Sirens got a second season.I'm much more bummed that Trophy Wife and Suburgatory were cancelled too.

I agree. I also really enjoyed Surviving Jack, Growing Up Fisher and The Crazy Ones. I am just happy I can sleep well knowing Hart of Dixie was renewed.
