I honestly hope they throw the book at him.

Re: Celebrities and the Law
Rest assured that if I ever see him, I will literally throw the book at him. Maybe a hardcover edition of American Psycho or something.

It'll miss. Professional courtesy on the part of the book.whatthedeuce wrote:Rest assured that if I ever see him, I will literally throw the book at him. Maybe a hardcover edition of American Psycho or something.

Yeah, I think I would actually feel bad for the book if it managed to hit him. It never asked to be subjected to that asshole.

What if the book was 50 Shades of Grey?whatthedeuce wrote:Yeah, I think I would actually feel bad for the book if it managed to hit him. It never asked to be subjected to that asshole.

Re: Celebrities and the Law
That actually crossed my mind before I made that last post, and I'm still not sure of my answer. 50 Shades is bad, but has it merited a punishment as cruel as being hypothetically thrown at CB? I'm still mulling that over.

Re: Celebrities and the Law
Surprise, surprise:
He really does need to examine his choices and figure out how to make better ones, but this feels like such a Lohan "hoping to dodge being locked up" sort of move..."Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility," his rep says in a statement. "His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point."

Is there rehab for how to not generally be an asshole?

Re: Celebrities and the Law
To be fair, though I loathe him, Chris Brown is allegedly on crack. And I buy it. And he clearly has deep deep psychological issues stemming from his childhood. So maybe rehab will help. I doubt it though since hes not really going for the right reasons.

Re: Celebrities and the Law
Oh wow, I've never heard the rumors about crack use. If that's true, it would be good for him to take regab seriously to deal with at least that issue. He won't instantly stop being an asshole, but it would certainly help get him into a healthier and more stable frame of mind.

Yeah, I can believe that about him, it would explain a lot.

Though this is most likely a preemptive strike so that the judge doesn't revoke his probation, so I doubt it will be of any actual help.

Re: Celebrities and the Law
I wasn't quite sure where to post this. "Celebrities and their Fucked Up Families"? Denise Richards writes a letter to DCSF explaining that she can no longer handle taking care of Charlie and Brooke's two boys.
I first heard about it while listening to morning radio. The DJ apparently had a copy of Denise's letter and went into a lot more detail about the situations listed in the TMZ article. I still remember Denise's long letter to the judge during her divorce from Charlie, along with back-up proof. So, using this method to get info out there makes sense for her.
Those poor boys. I guess Brooke still has visitation rights? They need to get completely away from Brooke and/or go into major therapy ASAP.

My God, how awful. Denise is kind of a saint for trying so hard to help these kids. Time for the Sheens to step in? Someone else from their family?

Re: Celebrities and the Law
Whoa, that is so scary. The kids clearly need therapy right away. They're torturing people and animals so they definitely have misplaced anger or maybe a lack of empathy. That's pretty frightening and sad.

Re: Celebrities and the Law
The deposition (summary and whole document) in Tom Cruise's lawsuit against Life & Style has somehow *ahem* managed to leak. Tom denies abandoning Suri, but admits to seeing her only 10 days between mid-June and Thanksgiving 2012, but he told her a lot of stories over the phone, and divorce is hard because of all the schedule juggling, yet somehow he found time to jet to London for a CoS event in that time he didn't see Suri because...

Yeah, that behavior is indicative of some serious neglect/abuse/just out and out shitty parenting when they're with their biological mother. Poor kids.whatthedeuce wrote:Whoa, that is so scary. Re: Celebrities and the Law
I really don't understand why Cruise pursued this. I mean, it's In Touch. Barely anyone takes them seriously, and the few that do forget about the stories by the time next week's issue comes out. I totally agree with him that it's sick to put up a person's parenting skills as entertainment, but this just isn't a fight he can win, even if he technically "wins". Angelina's had to put up with getting "F" grades as a mom and had speculation about her twins having mental disorders due to her taking drugs and drinking during pregnancy. That's some ugly shit, but the only way to fight it is to let it die and prove people wrong through your actions over time.

Re: Celebrities and the Law
And that deposition is why so many celebrities don't pursue legal action often even when they do have a legitimate case and his seemed to be fairly week given his lack of involvement in Suri's actual life. I love his paranoid sounding "did she say that?," response to the question about whether or not Katie divorced him to get Suri away from Scientology.
Brooke's brother gets temporary custody of the twins. Hopefully they get some help but her family seems pretty fucked up.

Re: Celebrities and the Law
Yeah, I read somewhere that the reason they fought her brother getting custody before was that he and Brooke were basically just in it to keep getting the child support checks. *sigh*

Re: Celebrities and the Law
TMZ is reporting that her brother and the twins will be moving in with Brooke, so I predict they will be getting help.

I feel so awful for those kids. I think as of now Denise is the trustworthy person in all this and as such I believe her when she said that Brooke tried to block psychological interventions and I can't see why she would get them now.
Ugh. Awful situation. And why aren't Martin or Emilio or any of the sane Sheens getting at all involved? I mean, I know Martin and his wife raised Charlie's older daughter.

I know! When Denise is the sane and thoughtful parent, and she TOTALLY IS, there pretty much are no words. If Courtney Love is a better parent than you, please just give the poor kids up so they can have a chance.
