I'm surprised they have lasted as long as they have, since they married just a few weeks after meeting each other. But yeah, this makes me sad, for some reason. I have never been particularly invested in them, but they seemed to really like/care about each other.

I always suspected she married Nick Cannon because he was nowhere near her, star power/industry clout wise, and she could live her life comfortably and not be afraid that he'd do a Tommy Mottola on her. I don't blame her to be honest. If I'd gone through what she went through in her first marriage, I'd be making damn sure husband number 2 didn't end up pulling the same number on me.

What did Tommy Mottola do to her?

He wouldn't let her leave the house and used to apparently watch her with security cameras. Super controlling, very into being her svengali. Remember when Eric Roberts was randomly in everyone's music video in 2005-6? In Mariah's he was basically playing Tommy.

Can we discuss how Nick Cannon is bringing home 75 million? I mean I knew he had that child/teen star money (which he clearly invested well), and all his many jobs, and shares in MTV and...I guess he owns Nickelodeon or something weird like that?...Damn. Nick Cannon may be a secret genius.

I don't care one way or another about Nick or Mariah as individuals, but I must admit that I actually thought they'd go a longer distance together. I mean they lasted more than a month of marriage, which is beyond what I anticipated, so from that point on, I began to think they might stay married somewhere closer to forever.

I also think the dress itself is boring, and not exactly flattering.  The idea of the kids drawing designs for it is sweet, though, and even though I wouldn't wear those embroidered drawings myself, I think it's great they wanted their kids to be such an important part of the wedding.

I loved seeing that Maddox and Pax walked Angelina down the aisle.  And Zahara and Vivienne were flower girls while Shiloh and Knox were ring bearers!  Too cute.

The People article said that Pax baked the cake.  But my favorite morning radio news show this morning said they actually had three cakes because the kids couldn't decide on a flavor.  I totally respect that decision if it's true.  Cake is the best part of any wedding.

Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg
His brother Mark skipped the wedding but sent a video congratulations online?  Nice.  I'm not a fan of hers (AT ALL) but even I think that's kind of cold.
Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross
His mother performed at the ceremony, one article said.  But then another one said she performed the ceremony, as in, officiated it. Now there's a way to include your family members in the wedding!  I bet now Angelina and Brad are wishing they waited until the kids were 18+ and could get licensed to officiate!
Gabrielle Union and Dwayne
I'm waiting for the Say Yes to the Dress special episode with Gabrielle Union. I would genuinely love watching that.

I call shenanigans on the whole Wahlberg wedding because I just don't see how someone would have their wedding on the same day as their goddaughter/niece's birthday for starters which means one of the groom's brothers says he can't attend.

Granted, I know nothing about the Wahlberg family dynamic so it might not be that big a deal to them. But still, shenanigans.

I read on another site that Mark Wahlberg doesn't like Jenny McCarthy, but I can't remember the reason. But not just a random dislike, there was actually something there.

Shocking. I am shocked.

That couple has always given me the creeps, mostly because he *looks* so much older than she is. I know there is only a ten year difference, but she still looks 22, while he's obviously heading for his 40's. Plus, he's Chad Kroeger, so double-ick.

I will always hate them for getting together in the first place and recording a horrific duet I was forced to listen to two weeks ago while I changed at the gym.

Also they are the worst of my nation in both male and female form.
