Ever wonder what would happen if the Founding Fathers got transplanted to the here and now? Watch I Made America and wonder no more. (I am strangely concerned about James Madison,
Spoiler:
especially after he goes missing in episode 5.)

The Hipster Games, based on an obscure novel you probably haven't heard of.

Following in the hipster vein, Sunset Junction. There are eight episodes, and they're all hilarious, though I had to watch the last one several times because I was laughing too hard to catch all the jokes. Brilliant!

A really sweet short film about strangers on the internet supporting a creative kid:

Caine Monroy is a 9-year old boy who spent his summer vacation building an elaborate DIY cardboard arcade in his dad’s used auto parts store.

Caine dreamed of the day he would have lots of customers visit his arcade, and he spent months preparing everything, perfecting the game design, making displays for the prizes, designing elaborate security systems, and hand labeling paper-lunch-gift-bags. However, his dad’s autoparts store (located in an industrial part of East LA) gets almost zero foot traffic, so Caine’s chances of getting a customer were very small, and the few walk in customers that came through were always in too much of a hurry to get their auto part to play Caine’s Arcade. But Caine never gave up.

One day, by chance, I walked into Smart Parts Auto looking for a used door handle for my ’96 Corolla. What I found was an elaborate handmade cardboard arcade manned by a young boy who asked if I would like to play. I asked Caine how it worked and he told me that for $1 I could get two turns, or for $2 I could get a Fun Pass with 500 turns. I got the Fun Pass.

Caine's arcade is a great story about the powers of the internet being used for good. They raised $165,000 so far for Caine's education and there is a company that will match up to $250,000 so they can start a scholarship fund for other creative kids.

SubWars. On a crowded subway car, no one offers an old man a seat, so he pulls out a lightsabre!

Baby in absolutely no danger from hungry lioness.

Seriously, the amount of fail in the comments about "bad parenting" is so disheartening. Arguing about "risk management" or "safety glass" like you know anything about either (hint: it's not safety glass, for starters) is just so.... I mean, seriously, you can't even *hear* the lion banging and scratching on the enclosure, that's how sturdy that polycarbonate stuff is.

That shit is funny! I love it, and I'm glad the mom had a sense of humor about it and shared the video.

Ha! The top comment right now is gold though: "How inhuman we have become to torture a majestic lioness, like this. Grow a soul and feed her that baby."

I understand that it was perfectly safe. But it doesn't change my cringe reflex one bit. If I were one of the parents, I would have grabbed the kid and ran as fast as my legs could carry me. It's still a lion trying to eat a baby!

Probably it's a sign that I'm not ready to have kids that I was like, "Aww, that poor lioness is trying so hard! Somebody give her something to eat!" Preferably that thing would not be an adorable baby in a zebra outfit.

Throw that lioness a gazelle, someone!

If this is a frequent thing in Copenhagen, I'm moving to Denmark. I might never get off the train.

I just saw that video yesterday. Just...wow. As my roommate said when I showed it to her, "It makes me weak in the knees, and I'm sitting down."

Seconding the vote for Avengers 2: This Time It's A Musical.
