Celebrities: Having Babies, Naming Babies

I try to avoid armchair psychology, but I seriously doubt that she's mentally healthy enough to raise a child. It's not even a case of bad motherhood, I just don't think she's well enough.

Drew Barrymore had a second daughter, Frankie.

I hate nicknames as names. I really do. Even though I know many lovely people with nicknames as names and it clearly doesn't matter in the long run. I will say Olive and Frankie are very cute sibling names.

I also don't like nicknames as names, but I've loved Frankie as a girl's name ever since I read Member of the Wedding, and debated whether to name my own daughter Frances so that I could call her Frankie.

I love it. Olive and Frankie is adorable.

Olive Wilde and Jason Sudeikis named their boy Otis.

I kind of love that.

That's a great name! Hits that sweet spot between unusual but still classic and not too weird.

I used to have zero feelings on Olivia Wilde or Jason Sudeikis, but somehow put them together and I really like them!

I don't know about Otis Sudeikis...not that it's bad, just not a combo I would use.

This is clearly a generational thing, because all I can picture when I hear "Otis" is the town drunk on The Andy Griffiths Show.

All I can think of is Ellen Tebbitts' tormentor.

I'm also unsure about "Otis Sudeikis," but I like the name overall.

I feel like he's going to become Otis S'dkis because of the identical ending syllables, but that's not the end of the world. Also, Otie is an adorable nickname.

The only Otis I know of is Otis Redding, so yay.

I think of Milo & Otis. But I don't remember if Otis is the cat or the dog. I like it. It's not super common, but it's an actual human (and animal) name.

I can totally see Otis being the next old-man hipster baby name. I think Homer tried to make a comeback at one point.

Personally, I immediately think of Otis Day and the Nights. If I were ever around a kid named Otis, I would be forced to greet him with a hearty "Otis! My man!" every time I saw him.

Not terribly relevant, but "Miss Otis Regrets" has been running through my head for the past couple of days.

For some reason, the name Otis just always brings a faithful dog to mind. Not a bad name by any means though.
