People suck. Good for Elizabeth.
Also I didn't know where else to post this but Sandra/Matthew used to be my number 2 Sandra Bullock related OTP (Keanu Reeves is forever number one) and it made me weirdly happy. Plus how cute are their kids?

Not a fan of Magnus (makes me think of Magnum condoms), but anyone who thinks a surrogate pregnancy is somehow the choice of the rich/lazy and not the infertile is an idiot. It's not only no more guaranteed than any other infertility treatment, it's such a new technology that in many states it has little to no legal protection for anyone (parents or surrogates).
The Bullock/McConaughey play date is adorable.

Re: Celebrities: Having Babies, Naming Babies
Aww I was just wondering if they were still close, or if things would be weird, because their relationship was so intense and yo-yo like. Glad to see they're all friendly and I love the idea their kids will be buds.
Re: Celebrities: Having Babies, Naming Babies
Honestly, even if someone did surragacy because they didn't want to go through pregnancy, I wouldn't care. So what? If they have the money to pay someone to do it and pregnancy isn't there thing, but they want a biological child, more power to them. It hurts absolutely no one and there's a weird mentality people have that you're not a real woman if you don't want to ever be pregnant.

SMG and Freddie Prinze Jr.'s son is named Rocky James. I do not like it.

Ugh. How did they get from Charlotte (beautiful) to Rocky? Rocky Prinze. Blergh.

Terrible. TERRIBLE. Why not name him James and call him Rocky? Why?

They were probably thinking of Rocky Balboa, boxer. But I think of Rocky, companion of Bullwinkle.

Oh no! I was hoping for something really nice and traditional. They did so well with Charlotte.
Re: Celebrities: Having Babies, Naming Babies
My husband's theory is that she named their daughter and he named this one. I'm going with it in order to keep my Smidge love firmly in place.

Re: Celebrities: Having Babies, Naming Babies
It feels like they just gave Charlotte permission to make fun of her little brother to no end. I know I would, if I had a baby brother whose given name was Rocky and mine actually sounded formal.

It sounds like a dog's name. In fact, I've known some dogs with that name, come to think of it.

See, this was my first thought, too.
My thoughts on the name "Rocky" are the same as on the name "Spike". As a nickname? Sure. As a given name? Not so much.

Re: Celebrities: Having Babies, Naming Babies
I'm telling you people that celebs hate their children on sight. There's no other reason for them sticking their offspring with such stupid ass names. I just got over motherffin' LION, and now there's a Rocky out there. What the...why the...what?

Another board I'm on was talking about this subject a few weeks ago. The worst name I saw was someone claiming a woman had named her daughter La-a. Wanna know how that's pronounced? No, I'm gonna let you guess first and then tell.

I think Shadavian is probably one of my faves that I've heard so far at the school I work at. I thought it had an interesting ring to it.

PLEASE BE JOKING. I can't imagine how many people mess that poor girl's name up on a regular basis.

Re: Celebrities: Having Babies, Naming Babies
I wish I were. And apparently the mother was butthurt that people kept pronouncing it wrong. Well gee, you give your kid a name spelled like La-a and expect people to automatically know it's pronounced Ladasha, you must really think you're a freaking genius. Or clever. And then I got irrationally angry about it because why would you do that to a kid?!
